Hi guys, was wondering what is the worst that can happen if you didn't pay your gym membership, specifically Fitness First? Other than being blocked access to the gym. Anyone got experience with this? Because they make it very difficult to quit the membership. Very worried about legal actions, but they didn't mention what would specifically happen in that legal action.

microphone suddenly cannot detect audio

a few minutes ago, my microphone was working fine, and next thing i know, it cannot detect any audio that i'm trying to record. it's a standalone mic that i plug into the port of my laptop. anybody know why it would suddenly not work? thanks in advance for your help

i'm using a laptop and plugged in a mic into it to record guitar playing and singing. at first, everything was recorded nicely. but after that, the guitar recordings sounded broken, almost like one moment it sounds okay, the next moment it sounds very far away. however, the vocals sound okay, even though the guitar recording seems to have problems. does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it please?

How to Access Unreadable External Hard Drive?

Ok, here's the situation: I've just detected the virus called usbdur, using the AVG Anti virus, and I've deleted that virus. Apparently, my laptop can't detect my external hard drive after that. it won't appear in My Computer, and there's no Autorun for it. The USB ports work fine, because it can read my flash drives and optical mouse. My external hard drive lights up, but there's no whirring inside it, and no ticking sounds whatsoever. I checked device manager, and all the USB hubs are working fine. So I guess it's a problem with my external hard drive, and I'm wondering how could I access my files inside it? I've tried chkdsk, TestDisk, TweakUI, PC Inspector File Recovery.. and all of them can't detect my external hard drive! I really need to access my external hard drive, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. My external hard drive is Hitachi 2.5" 500GB External Hard Drive with a USB 2.0. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1410, about 2 years old
