Mid Life Crisis

Mid life crisis! not sure what is the % of forumers here are between 35-45 but I think majority are still lurking in college, fresh grad and early 30s, forgive me for the stereotyping.

Anyway just want to start a thread for those who are 35 onwards and have they started feeling lost, depressed, shitty or so they call it mid life crisis?

What are your intentions, techniques, or doings to get by?

I'd probably feeling it right now since last year, at approaching 40 and looking forward is kind lost and scary, with ageing parents to take care, children are young, need to devote time to family and split them for work, need to imagine what would be like in 50? still got job? will I go from good to bad and to worst? sigh!

Not that financial not good, but just doing okay and surviving.

Mariied or not?

When you are single, you want to be married and have family, and then when you're married you then wish you were single and free.

Seriously it is a one good side seeing another good side, but each side has it's own plus and minus.

I'm married and with kids, I love my family very much but there are instances when me and my wife had thoughts that it would be nice to be just on our own without kids, where we can be free and socially active again.

Believe me it's a vice versa thing, but at some point when you don't have kids or companionship then loneliness will set in, but when you have companionship, others things will follow. So there is not always a good or bad side.

Replacement watch for Tissot PRS300

Hello all, seeking recommendations. One of my daily watch Tissot PRS is going on it's 13th year and I have repaired it twice and service 3 times already and I don't think I want to repair it the 3rd time and even if I do I'm looking at a replacement for it and I don't think I want another Tissot for it. Any recommendation for the budget between rm2500 to rm4000 max? I will wear this alternatively daily between my few other set of watches and taking into account if someone rob me I won't be so heart broken also.

Thanks,

Candida Albicans/Candidemia

Hi! I'm a male 35 and i had bad encounter of this Candida attack, I'll write my experience here and it may probably scare most of you what i've have gone through and now experiencing just 2 days ago.

My first experience was back in 2007 where i started to have cough, then slight fever. Went to the GP quickly and prescribed antibiotics because the next day i had to fly overseas for a business meeting. The next 2 days, while in overseas, red patches all over my body started to develop and my penis started developing ulcer like patches as well, then later the day my mouth began to get coarse and my lips started swelling, over the next few days patches of ulcer and lesions had developed in my mouth in which i really had a hard time eating and my weight drop tremendously and what made it worse was i was on business trips and there is nothing i could do, it's only back to the hotel where i started to check the internet for symptoms and info and it's when i discovered it was Candida or acute yeast infection.

When i got back, immediately i took fluconazole and i guess it's pretty much too late. It was all well and later end of 2007 the second attack began, the same symptoms with red itchy patches on my body, ulcer like on my penis and lesions in my mouth again. This time I took fluconozole earlier like 2 to 3 tablets just not to make it worst. I went to my GP and he saw my penis and mouth and he confirmed it as Candidiasis. There is nothing he could do, probably because he is a GP.

That doesn't end there, I was free of this until year of 2008 where i had the same bloody experience again, this time I took myself to the hospital in KL because it was painful when i urinate, they put me to see the urologist and none of the nurses or even the GP there knows what it is. As a joke the urologist said it was not candida or anything, and immediately told me to take a full STD test, HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis, the whole works. What's more embarassing was my wife was with me, and it made me feel like a womanizer, but i wasn't scared because i did nothing wrong behind her back. The urologist didn't prescribe me anything, but just oral gel because of my ulcers and lesions in my mouth and send me home while they wait for the STD blood test in the next couple of days. I returned and saw everything to be negative and he didn't say anything but still refuse to acknowledge it's Candida.

Later in the months I have been doing research and asking around, a friend of my told me to visit a holistic doctor opp Mid Valley which he has a live blood test machine and also specialize in fungal and etc. I went to see him and told him about condition for the past year, he took my blood and put it in the machine and there he confirmed that Candida is in my blood. Again he cannot do much, as he tells me the only way is to strengthen my immune system, and prescribed me with fluconazole over the course of 2 months.

It has been over 1 3/4 without any recurrences, but just 2 days ago the same thing had happen again, red patchs and followed by.....

I'm running out of ideas, opinions and I seriously need help, if anyone knows any doctor/hospital or specialist that heard of Candida attacks or be able to help me rid of it or manage it, please please EMAIL me, or post a reply.
