AMD A10 5800K

Hi,
Last weekend I bought CZone desktop system the AMD A10 5800K.

First, I am impressed with it graphic.

But, the system only last less than a day; the power supply failed/dead. Then I replaced with a used power supply. And it lasted for 2 days, this morning its also failed/dead.
It is seem that the AMD A10 really power hungry. You better supply the system with a more wattage power supply and more reliable.

I would like to send it back to get a better power supply unit, but the traffic and distance really make me pissed off to go to lowyat. Can I get a replacement at your Digital mall outlet (rather than go all the way to lowyat)? And can I just bring the PSU or you want me to bring the whole system?

Your attention is highly appreciated.

Mohar
016-3222475

8GB Computer

Hi,

I need a PC with at least 8GB of RAM. Will running XP 64bits, application CAD/CAM.

I have seen a lot of new mobo "support up to 8GB of RAM" stated in the manual/websites, but have not yet seen them running with 8GB. So, if there anyone out there have successfully configured such a systems do share "the how to" with us. When I tried asking the supplier, this is a reply I get "Not very sure la it can take 8GB " "last time got people want 8GB, but cannot configure la"

But after browsing thru some forum, there are people who has succesfully configured such a system. Obviously, the supplier I asked is not a computer junkie......

I have seen those branded PC running with 8GB of RAM i.e. DELL, HP, IBM. But those cost more than RM8k!!!! Over my budget. I am looking at <RM7k including MS Windows XP 64 bit.

So, again, Is there computer junkie in here has successfully configured one..... do tell us, how to, the BIOS setting especially, what model of mobo and RAM?

Regards.
