WT change SSD, how to Backup OS and reinstall?

hi all, currently i have a dell inspiron 13 7000 - 7348( which ori OS is win8.1).
I use win XP before using this win8.1.

I wanted to change to a SAMSUNG EVO 850 256gb SSD.

there is a few question that bother me and hopefully some sifu can give me some clue.

1.How to create a OS installer(the ori win8.1 in the laptop) with a USB?using the dell recovery solfware?

2.clone the hdd to ssd or reinstall OS is better?

3.when cloning 500gb hdd(still got 400gb free space) to smaller size ssd (256gb), any particular step need to perform?
from what i found in google, they said need to make the hdd smaller size which i really dont understand.

4.what is AHCI??how does it work?

5.any easy tutorial of changing big size hdd to smaller size ssd?

hi all,currently aiming to buy a 2in1 convertible laptop.
finally cut down to 2choice, dell inspiron 13 7000 and asus tp301uj . (around 3k)

just want to ask all sifu here some question~

1.do the asus tp301uj have backlit keyboard ?

2. what type of game can the asus tp301uj play?

3.any 2in1 laptop to suggest more?( around3k,thin)

4. do dell have official store in lowyat?

5.can add ram or change ssd ？(asus tp301uj)

6. what would you choose from those 2 laptop above?
(in term of watching movie.gaming(low setting is ok),design of laptop)

7.best price in lowyat for these 2 laptop?
(too far from my hometown)
