Is my baby suffering from Colic of just Manja?

Dear LYN friends,

My baby is about 2.5 weeks old. Recently she refuse to sleep at night and will cry non stop unless we carry her up.

I'm just confused if my baby daughter is suffering from Colic or she is just very manja and wants people to be carried. Last night, we took over from the confinement lady (as she did not sleep well for 3 nights in a row) and she just cried and without any particular reason (tried feeding, checked her diapers).

I tried to ignore her cries (thought she manja) but she will cry louder and turns all red so I will carry her up and walk around. After a while, she will fall asleep. I will then put her back on the cot but within minutes, she will start crying again.

I tried patting her front or back while putting on some soft music..it works for a while but eventually she will cry again. This happened for about 1-2 hours before she finally falls asleep for about 2-3 hours before she wakes up for feeding time again.

She seems to burp quite a bit (we need to burp her for quite a while or she will keep on feel uncomfortable) and sometimes spit up quite an amount of milk. She also tends to fart a lot. Is this due to lots of gas in her tummy that is causing her to be uneasy?

I am considering to get the Colic Calm gripe water if indeed she is suffering from colic but is it safe to consume if she is not suffering from colic? Some friends of mine says she is suffering from colic while some said that she is spoilt by my wife and I. We are first time parents...
