Very nice movie. A proper sequel and dare I say a proper tribute to Harold Ramis as well.

As a long time fan of Ghostbusters, I almost shed manly tears in this movie.

The feminazi reboot can be totally ignored now.

And there are 2 post credits scene.

They might be heading back to New York if there are sequels after this.

And the movie is family friendly too. Only one reference to woke culture.

The mini Stay Puft Marshmallow Men are very cute.

From a fan perspective, I give it a 10/10.

Unifi weird speed drop problem

Hi guys and girls,

I am currently experiencing a weird unifi speed or connection issue for the past few days.

It will start happening daily starting from around 12pm until 9 or 10pm. Afterward it will be back to normal.

The download speed will gradually drop until less than 1mbps and sometimes even failed to connect at all.

And the weird part it doesn't affect the upload speed at all unless when totally failed to connect.

Another weird thing was sometimes the speed drop to below 1mbps, but I can still watch Netflix and Youtube at high quality. But browsing will still be affected, page will load slowly.

Restarting the modem and router doesn't help. Sometimes it even cause total lost of connection (blinking red light). Most of the time it will reconnect but will not able to detect the DNS server (blinking yellow light)

The current TM tech that is handling this case is still baffled and doesn't seems to know what to do.

He tries to check with the system team but so far no result.

Is there anyone else that have experienced this before?

Or have any suggestions on what to check?

Attached are the speedtest images for yesterday. From 12.50pm until 1.30pm and then total loss of connection until 10pm yesterday.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

I'm planning to provide underprivileged students around my area free internet for their PDPR (Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Di Rumah). I can accommodate 10 students at a time easily at my house.

Starting date target is 1st of February 2021.

However, it has come to my attention that there are a lot of them also doesn't have any laptops nor smartphone.

So I'm wondering if you guys have any spares laptops to donate? I only need 10 laptops for the 10 students. It will be kept in my house and not to be brought back home by them.

I'm trying to get 10 laptops with at least dual core processor, 2gbs of ram and webcam. Better is appreciated but those will do. Broken battery also fine since I will provide them with the power extension.

And maybe 10 optical mouse to go along with it.

Any other suggestions on what to get or concern is appreciated.

P.S: Should I get permission from the police too?

Update: Currently waiting for penyelaras DUN to talk with Tok Penghulu.

Update: Penyelaras DUN fully support the program and already talk to Polis rep. Polis rep said as long as adhere to SOP should be no problem but still need to have face to face meeting between me, Penyelaras DUN & Ketua Balai.

Update: I was advised to wait until we received further announcement regarding the PKP (after 4th Feb) by the Ketua Balai. I understand his concern and will follow his advise. Will discuss again after we have received update regarding PKP. I will close this thread temporarily until we have further progress. Thank you for your support, input and feedback guys and girls.

Xbox gamepass. Is it bad or good for gaming?

At a glance Xbox game pass look like a really good bargain and very consumer friendly. This would especially be true if even new games are released on the same day on it. Who doesn't want Netflix for games right?

However, have we thought enough about the effect of it to the game developers?

If Xbox game pass become popular, and more and more people start to subscribe to the subscription, odds are game sales are going to drop significantly.

When this happen, revenue to game developer will be reduced as well and they will be forced to find new stream of revenue.

And most likely, introducing mandatory microtransactions (MTs) and more gambling mechanics into the games.

We already seen a lot of bad MTs and predatory gambling mechanics into existing games. So odds are it is going to get worst.

For gambling mechanics, at least there are country regulations and laws to control it, but for normal MTs, there is none.

They might introduce more and more mobile gaming like features to artificially hampers your progress into the games like time lock to proceed or pay to bypass. Or worst mandatory to pay to proceed.

It is even possible in the future due to the subscription model, each game would have a separate subscription fees for you to pay on top of the main subscription service such as game pass.

What could be worst is if each game need yearly subscription fees to play due to this model.

So this are my concerns about game pass or games subscription model in general.

What do you guys think?
