HELP! microsoft security essentials.

hello all. as per title n description, Microsoft Security Essentials detected important files in my external hdd as virus n i've accidentally clicked 'remove'.
To sifus out there, is there a way for me to retrieve them all? The removed files are so important to me.

Sifus,

i've just formatted my c drive and installed kaspersky and made a full scan on the pc. it detected no virus whatsoever but when i try to install apps frm a folder in other partition, the kaspersky is turned off and the task manager is disabled. Anyone can gimme a good solution? thanx. oh ya n btw, the pc os is win xp.

hello all sifus... today i've bought a new hard disk and installed it to my pc. To my surprise the new hard disk emitted a very strong, obvious noice.( the sound of
scratching disks ) For your information, this is the fourth hard disk tht i bought and all the previous ones have been sent for RMA. The hard disk before the one i bought today only lasted me about one month before it started to emit scratching sounds, windows started to freeze and later on couldnt be detected during bootup. All of the previous hardisks received the same 'ending' I'm sure the hard disk tht i just bought today was ok because its new and it shouldnt be giving scratching sounds when i turn on the pc. i'm beginning to think tht my pc is haunted.

to all the sifus out there.. i need ur help and suggestion please. thanx in advance.

Help! cant reformat pc bcause hdd is not detected

hello all. i have with me a notebook infected with brontok and its variants (i guess so coz it shutsdown itself and theres no task manager, folder option). what i can say is.. this notebook is a total wreck, thanx to the viruses. and so.. i decided to reformat it and here is where it gets on my nerves.. after successfully booting from my win xp disc till the screen where 3 options pop up. ' 1. press enter to install windows, 2. press r to go to recovery console, 3....... i dun remember no.3'

i've tried options 1 and 2 but both of them prompted, 'windows installation cant be continued because theres no hdd detected. pls make sure hdisk are powered on bla bla bla.. press f3 to quit'.

but the weird thing is the hdisk partition C and D is detected when i check it in 'my computer'. i was told that the viruses are causing this..

so guys..how can i reformat this notebook..? i need ur help here as i'm pretty much clueless now.. thanx in advance.

hello ppl. my friend's pc goes blank right after the boot screen shows 'verifying dmi pool data'. i tried booting from cd and the screen does the same after 'setup is copying files to ... '
Cpu fan is still running but the screen is pitch black. i know that it cant be the monitor's or GC's fault coz i've tested it with different GCs and monitors. im suspecting the mobo but i still can enter bios setup. so guys.. what do u think.? i really need some help here.. thx in adv.

Internal Hard Disk shown as 'Removable Device'

greetings lowyatians. i need ur help regarding on as what my topic states.. i 've just bought a new pc ( AMD x2 ) and have just finished installing xp and all the mobo drivers. the problem is, there's this removable disk icon on the taskbar. when i click on it, it shows the removable disks are my internal harddisks. anybody knows whats going on here..? taskete kudasaiii..

a friend of mine just bought a vaio lappie last month and due to software incompatibilities, he got it downgraded from Windows Vista to Windows Xp. the problems are :

1. when webcam is turned on, the os prompts 'device is not connected' but in device manager it shows 'device is working properly'

2. when bluetooth is turned on, the os prompts 'device is not connected' but in device manager it shows 'device is working properly'

hello all. my rig has two hdds with two partitions for each of em. the problem is, sumtimes my partition goes invisible. the hd drives are detected but the partitions are gone. can sumbody enlighten this inexperienced noob with an answer.? thx in advance.
