Happy Chinese New Year all.

So my water bill in Semenyih suddenly kena 300+ this month - usually 20-30 only.
My old mother lives alone in the terrace house, she has checked no leaking in house, so something must have gone wrong, want to get help to investigate.

I'm currently overseas, and just wondering if anyone has called Air Selangor helpline from overseas before?

I have sent them inquiry if they have any +60 number I can call from overseas, so I can talk to someone, so far no response from them yet.

Anyone experienced similar issue of sudden water jump? Was Air Selangor cooperative and can provide help?

Mileage Tampering

I've been looking at carlist.my for a second-hand Ford Focus, when I shared with my friends/colleagues for their opinion most of them basically said:

"Don't trust the mileage - most of the them are tampered"

Is it true guys?
Now I feel disheartened already. Is this common practice in Malaysia? Why these dealers are dishonest? Don't they have integrity and ethics?

Sorry if it's becoming a rant - but I really feel sad with these kind of business practice. I used to live in the UK for few years and process of buying second-hand car was so transparent and information about a car is very well documented and tracked, so consumers could buy the car with informed decision.

So any advice what to ask these kind of dealers during viewing? Just close one eye? How to know telltale of tampered mileage for us normal people?

Driving in UK using our phone's GPS

Hi,

Anyone used mobile phone's GPS (iphone or andriod) by downloading map for UK?

Is it reliable enough?

I can rent a GPS when I rent the car, but just want to know the other options.
If I can use my mobile phone (no data plan, just GPS, should be can right?) as GPS, then I can save my company's money by 150 pounds

We found a stray with half tongue gone! WTFBBQ!

Hi guys, story like this:

Last Monday mom saw a stray female cat, not too old, around "teenagers" age based on teeth, very thin, dehydrated and malnourished lying on the corridor. So mom approached the cat with intention to give her some spare kibbles.

Mom saw the cat's mouth got dried blood clots, and the cat couldn't close her mouth properly. Then mom saw half of the tongue is gone, WTFBBQ!!. Almost shocked, she brought her back, and when we looked closely inside the cat's mouth, got lots and lots of maggots. WTFBBQQQQQQ!!!!11111

Then we ran to vet, and vet had a look, when vet saw maggots, we were WTFBBQ!! all over again.

Then vet cleaned the cat up, treated her wound, and we took her back to home. That night we tried to give her antibiotics, but stumbled on 4 more maggots WTFBBQ!! (dead maggots, but still) so mom picked them one by one using the small picker meant for sewing, LOL desperate mah have to lor..

So today, after 2 days, the tongue wound has almost healed, no more maggots. We've been feeding her with kitten's milk, gel-type supplement with vitamins and pureed canned foods.. all through syringe which we put at the top pallet aiming at the throat opening and "shoot". Vet advised to be careful as not to "shoot" her respiration tunnel.

I'm thinking of how this fella going to survive when she got healthier later. Since tongue is one of the vital parts of a cat, they need it to:

- Eat (this should be okay, we can hand feed her twice a day, before we go work, and after we reach home)
- Drink (this should be okay too, since we're going to feed her soft foods, so she'll get the water)
- Clean her fur and after she poop (she still wants to clean herself, keep seeing her bite-bite abit, trying to lick her paw, but since no tongue, cannot lick kesian weh! But nehmind, we can buy baby wipes and clean her everyday)

Now I need your creative ideas. Other than syringes, how would you feed her/give water? I was thinking to get some kind of "long but narrow teat", then put some water inside, then hang at her cage, and let her suck when she's thirsty.. but I've never stumbled upon such teats, so..

Apa macam?

p/s: Vet and I also have no idea how the tongue became a stub, maybe infection, maybe people cut (WTFISTHISSHITMUSTKILLHIM!!) dunwan to speculate lah, now focus on the health of the cat only..

VAT refund in Frankfurt, Germany

has anyone claimed vat refund from Frankfurt Airport before? i have few questions:

- when i shop, should i get the vat refund form from the shops? or just keep the receipt is enough?

- what's the minimum amount? is it still 25eur?

- how's the process? smooth? tedious? officer very strict? or anything i should take note on?

Hi guys,

I've scheduled a report to be generated daily, but somehow, there are days that the schedule failed, and also succeeded. Example: Yesterday's report failed to be generated, but today can. It seems like the problem I encountered is intermittent, therefore quite hard for me to investigate the root cause

Below is the error on failed schedule:

Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 28000 ]

I'm using Business Objects XI Release 2, with Oracle DB

Hope anyone that encountered this before could help. Thanks!

Ok, As you can see at the picture, I have 2 segments. I can forward packets from Segment A to Segment A, but not Segment A to Segment B.

Below are the config:

Segment A hosts' ip addresses: 192.168.1.xx
Segment A Gateway: 192.168.1.254
Router port 0/0: 192.168.1.0

Segment B hosts' ip addresses: 192.168.2.xx
Segment B Gateway: 192.168.2.254
Router port 1/0: 192.168.2.0

All links and ports of the hubs are up.

Hope you guys could point out where did I go wrong.

Well, I don't have a credit card to do installment and so do my parents.
I need quite a long time to do savings if I were to buy it by cash considering that I'm going to continue my study this July.

Hello my dear lyn's forumers..here's the story:

Last Monday,my neighbour's cat, Tompok, fell from 11th floor of my apartment..
Thank God my neighbour saw him fall,so she quickly went down and to her amazement,Tompok still alive..but critical..
Subsequently, she took him to vets and after the check-up, the doctor couldnt do anything because one of the layer in Tompok's stomach koyak oledi..
So,now, after 3 days, Tompok didnt eat/drink and doesnt want any strangers near him except for my neighbour..
My neighbour everyday tried to feed him with milk,but Tompok still like that..his condition doesnt improve..

So, as one of the person who loves Tompok so much, I would like to request my fellow friends here to pray for him to get better..
