Moving PC while it is on

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask is it safe to move the pc while it is on? I move my pc yesterday night while it is on and I heard noise from the hard disk. Windows booting also takes longer than before, after I entered windows, I opened file explorer and it takes very long to load the drives. Due to that I reboot the PC again and it takes very long again to boot again, but once I got into Windows everything smooth and no problem loading or any sound occur from the hard disk. After that I reboot again everything work perfectly without any sound.

Due to this incident, is my hard disk still safe to use? I don't want it to run for some time and it fail due to this.

I also tested on Acronis Drive Monitor and Crystal Disk Info, both showing fine on my hard disk.

Hopefully any pro can help me in this.

Hi,

Recently I have just moved my internal hard disk to my brother's PC, after that I moved back to my own pc and when I startup the PC there is some noise come from the hard disk(I think) and the sound last for awhile only.

Due to that I have install Acronis Drive Monitor to check the smart status and it shows okay. I have installed WD Lifeguard Diagnostic so far it doesn't show any sypmtom.

Is there any accurate way to check whether my hard disk is faulty or not?

Hi everyone,

I need to check something with the gurus here. I bought a 6tb hard disk recently to backup my files from another 6tb hard disk. After completed, the space that the copied drive used up lesser than the original hard disk.

I have checked each folder contains how many files and folder and both shows the same.

Is it possible that some files are not copied to the new drive?
