Hello dear trainers!

Are you excited for Malaysia's first Pokémon LARP??
Today I will share some information with you about PLAY! PokéLeague.

Before you start your adventure, you'll need your own Nintendo
3DS/3DSXL console and your Pokémon X/Y game.
Although not necessary, I would recommend becoming the Champion of the Kalos region before you embark on this League as the trainers you face may have already reached beyond this point in the Kalos region.

In this LARP, what's most important is your imagination and passion for Pokémon.
For the best experience, trainers are required to follow the play rules and although not necessary (but recommended!), to roleplay as your character.
Your character is you, a young trainer looking for a destiny to greatness.
So be the very best YOU (or if you choose to cosplay and play as that character, that's ok too)!

Now, I firmly believe in every trainer's ability to bring out the best in their Pokémon so in this League you may use any naturally obtained Pokémon whether by breeding, capture, transfer from another region or a gift from Nintendo in your team.
However be aware that sometimes your opponent may choose a battle mode like "Flat Battle" that restrict the use of certain Pokémon, so it is a good idea to prepare a variety of Pokémon to choose for your battles.

Just so you know, I frown upon modified Pokémon that have moves and abilities unnatural to them, and will remove your rights to participate if I hear of such abuse.

Now I'll talk about the Gym Leaders and Elite Four.
We will be providing a guide to help you locate them.
Gym leaders will be active from 12pm to 5pm.
Some are wandering around the hall, some like to stay in a spot, some may just be chilling at a canteen somewhere.
Look for them by asking around.
Some Gym leaders may give you a quest before you can challenge him/her.
You will need to get all 8 Gym badges before facing the Elite Four.

The Elite Four will start to accept challenges from 3pm to 6pm.
Defeating a member of the Elite Four will not be easy but you will be awarded a badge for your victory.
That's right, there will be *12* Badges to collect before one can claim the title of Champion.
Keeping the title will be tough as each trainer with 12 badges may challenge the reigning Champion to try and claim the title.
Once a Champion has lost to a challenger, he will relinquish the title to his challenger permanently, so do your best to hold the title until the LARP ends!

So there you have it.
It may be a lot to take in, but what's important is to have fun and enjoy Pokémon!

I hope to see you all at PLAY! Convention this June 28th.

DOGATHON 2011, now in its 15th year, is a charity event organized by the VETERNAK & Zoologico Club of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM.

THEME: DOGGIES IN WONDERLAND!
"Woofing, Wagging, and We're off to the Whimsical Wonderland!"

It is "THE LARGEST DOG GATHERING IN MALAYSIA” in the MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS! A total of 1,111 dogs came last year!

Main objective is to channel funds for a student run project called ProKasih, which aims for better stray animal welfare & to promote responsible pet ownership.

PORT ANGELES -- A man in a child's banana costume and a friend were arrested after a string of events led Clallam County Sheriff's deputies to corner their car on Old Olympic Highway on Tuesday evening.

Carlton Jeffery Kohnert, 21, who is apparently in the Marine Reserve, was arrested for investigation of reckless endangerment, aiming or discharging a weapon and indecent exposure, said Clallam County Sheriff's Sgt. Randy Pieper.

Police believe Kohnert -- fully costumed in the yellow banana costume -- exposed himself to a woman at the Port Angeles Wendy's restaurant and drove through Four Seasons Ranch brandishing a shotgun.

Anthony Marks Maybury, 21, was arrested for investigation of reckless endangerment.

An 18-year-old woman was in the car with them, but Pieper did not name her because she was not arrested nor is she thought to be involved in any crimes.

"The banana costume has been seized and put into evidence," Pieper said.

"[Kohnert] couldn't really tell us why he was in the costume.

"All we know is he was drinking earlier in the day, but he didn't really have a reason for the costume."

The Port Angeles Police Department received the first report about a costumed man at about 6 p.m., after he was seen at Wendy's, Pieper said.

After leaving Wendy's in a Dodge Stratus, Kohnert -- the costumed man -- and Maybury drove to Saar's Market on U.S. Highway 101 on the east side of Port Angeles, Pieper said.

"They then were called in for a car doing a burnout -- in other words pulling 360s in the Saar's Market parking lot," Pieper said.

"They did not, it appears, get out at Saar's, though."

After leaving Port Angeles, the group made a stop at Four Seasons Ranch, where Kohnert -- still dressed in the banana costume -- got out, brandished a shotgun and began yelling, Pieper said.

"We believe he was yelling something or other about white supremacy," Pieper said.

The group then left and drove east on Highway 101 again.

State Patrol troopers and Clallam County Sheriff's Office deputies followed the car, which turned off onto Old Olympic Highway, where another deputy was driving from the east, Pieper said.

The car stopped at about 6:15 p.m. and the occupants got out. The costumed man, holding a shotgun, released the weapon when told to put it down, Pieper said.

Investigators are awaiting a warrant to search the car. They could see two empty shotgun shells in the passenger seat, Pieper said.

"At this point, though, we have absolutely no reports of any shots fired," he said.

"And he denies that it was loaded at any time, so those might not be related."

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia is planning to build a "Space City" project that costs up to 13 billion ringgit (3.71 billion U.S. dollars) near Seremban, capitol of its Sembilan State.

Local newspaper The Star reported on Monday that the project, to be financed by a Dubai-based private pension fund from India, would be implemented as early as the end of this year.

It would be similar to Abu Dhabi's 750 billion ringgit (214.29 billion U.S. dollars) Space City project that would be built over the next decade, although not in size, cost and lavishness, added The Star.

The daily quoted the Sembilan State's Mentri Besar (chief executive of the state government) Mohamad Hasan as saying that the local Space City project would cover an area of 400 hectares.

It was close to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and Putrajaya, administrative center of the Malaysian Federal Government, added the official.

Mohamad Hasan said the ultra modern project would take shape in phases over 15 years.

He also stressed that the city, built on a totally new concept, would be the nation's most modern city.

Meanwhile, he said the state government had only sold the land to the investor based on set conditions and the later would be financing the project by themselves, without the state government's forking out any cash.

According to The Star, the Space City, once completed, would also house the Formula One City where competing teams could set uptheir research and development facilities.

Mohamad Hasan noted that the drivers could also stay near the circuit during the race, without having to commute back and forth between the congested Kuala Lumpur and the Sepang F1 Circuit, which is also near to the Space City.

The first phase of the project consists of a mixed development with residential and commercial properties with the former costing more than 500,000 ringgit (142,857.14 U.S. dollars).

While encouraging locals to park their investments in the city, he said the developers would also be allowed to sell the properties to foreigners.

Mohamad Hasan also said that the Space City project would be carried out at the same time as Sime Darby's Central Vision Valley(CVV) project located some eight kilometers away.

Sime Darby is a Malaysian-based multinational company with core businesses in plantation, property, motors, industrial and energy.
