Hello fellas,
I am buying a laptop for a relative who is learning & (hopefully) doing sum PHP development (WAMP environment). I dun wanna buy an overly expensive machine but not 1 that is too low spec to be productive.

can any of you advise what is teh spec that i should look for? AMD (A6, A8, A10 or FX) is good? Pentium or Celeron is good? or i nid I3/5/7?

my budget is about RM1.5k.

guy here and i am given a weird task (for a guy anyway...). Its for a company event.

i need to source for mother & daughter matching dress. I found for non-muslim but for muslim (jubah ke pape as long as its muslim identity and mother-daughter matching) i can't find any wholeseller or online retailer.

do you all know of any online retailer or shop around Klang Valleny that sell mum-dotter matching muslim dress?

I'll be buying is moderate quantity (10-50 i figure).

Unifi D-Link changing channel

Hi guys,
I'm totally lost with what this is about. can one of u kind soul explain to me please.

I've been getting intermittent issue when connecting thru my unifi. by deduction method, i manage to connect via LAN so wifi wud be the cause. Each time i call up unifi support they keep asking me to switch channel. Default was 11 then i'm asked to switch any other channel.

Been doing it for days when i have intermittent issue. Reason being my neighbours may be using the same channel.

Is there a way of setting it and dun mess with it? is this sumthing inherent with the D-Link router? a fren recommend me switch to one of those better router certified with unifi.

I looked at the garage sales section but i cannot find what i wanted.

Does anyone know where can i get a HDMI switch in around KL? I am looking for one with (at least) 3 HDMI input with TOSLink and RCA optical output too.

so far i found those HDMI switch without the audio output.

Create chart in Excel

Hello,

I need to create a sales chart to compare and monitor the sales of 2 product (A and B) over 4 region (North, south...) and over 4 quarter.

The Y axis will be my sales volume. The sales figure will be stacked over the quarters.

The X-axis will be product and region. The chart for each quarter for both product should be side-by-side (no gap between).

I may be getting the a-xis wrong here. I manage to do it in Excel but there is alway a gap between the series of data even within the same quarter.

cannot initialize microsoft office shared utilitie

Hello,

2 days ago, my windows update tun and install some update. After the update installation, my MS office suite stop working.

When i start outlook, i get error msg "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot initialize Microsoft Office shared utilities. Restart your computer or reinstall Microsoft Office Outlook"

when i start excel, i get error msg "Not enough memory to run Microsoft OFfice Excel. Please close other application and try again"

Its the same with the other MS Office apps.

From the windows update log, i can check that the update installed recently are KB955759, KB970430, KB974318, KB976325, KB973904, KB974392, KB971737 and KB890830).

I am running Office 2007 SP2 on Win XP SP3. any idea how to fix this?

Opening secured pdf in Adobe 8

I have this document that i use frequently in work. I bought online @ Amazon. the pdf document is secured. Back when i was using dobe 7 on XP, i have to download some add-on (i think) to view the secured pdf.

However, now i am using Adobe 8 on Vista, the pdf reader just refuse to open the file. I have down load the Adobe Digital editions but still fails to open the secured pdf. all i get is an error message that says "This document cannot be opened on this machine. Plese contact the site where you obtained the document to download another copy".

any idea how to go around this?

Legal demand for CC not even collected

a few months back i apply for home loan at a local bank. The application came with some condition and one of it is to also apply for Credit card.

My loan was approved but i rejected the offer. The same goes for the CC application. Initially i was thinking of using the CC as i only have 1 CC now. After 2 months trying the bank fails to deliver to card to me as no 1 is at home and its a registered mail.

What pisses me off is the bank went ahead and activate the card. I have not even collected the card or call for activation. I called the bank and give them a piece of my mind and told them to cancel it off.

Fast forward a couple of month. I got a legal letter demanding me to pay the annual fee + interest + legal fee (RM50).

Asked a fren who had the same problem with the same bank and his advise is got there and F every1 in front and they'll waive everything and cancel the card.

I am looking for a more civilised manner. Have any1 experienced this before and how did you guys go around dealing with such bank?

Anyone tried installing the Sone Ericsson PC Suite 2.10.46 on Vista? I kept getting an error messae "Fail to load resource" everytime i start the installer. I can continue to install but starting the PC Suite will stall my laptop.

been trying to install for a few weeks now with no result. anyone have the same error?

I am helping to moderate a website and we are using phpBB. The trouble is we get spam like mad. I gotta vet thru the new user.

Been using the ban control but these spammer are rather creative.

Anyone have any open source forum/online discussion software to recommend? Nothing really fancy i am looking at just a good user management tool and anti-spam.

Problem details
I have been trying to configure the above two Linksys AM300 and Netgear WGR614 to work togerher and connect to internet but its been a week with no luck.

the Linksys AM300 is fine when connecting to internet alone. However when i connect the Netgear WGR614, the connection just fail.

Can someone who have the ablve two combination help?

Really appreciate any advise.
