wireless usb vs wireless pci

currently im using wireless usb adapter from dlink but it seems that i have to reconnect it several times to make it detectable and even have to restart the computer a few times... so my question is: will it be better if i use wireless pci card for better performance or just stay with wireless usb adapter?
