Jazz Archtop 50's Tone

Hi all.

Im just wondering what must i do to achieve this darkish tone:
Thomas Nordlund - Autumn in New York

Well the only conclusion i can get from his video:-

1/ P-90 pickups
2/ Really expensive arch top
3/ Probably a polytone amp

Currently im using an entry level archtop (Ibanez AF75-TOR) and my amp is a roland cube 60. The closest thing i could get to this tone is through the following settings:-

Amp:-
Bass 9 o'clock
Mid 11 o'clock
Treble 1 o'clock

JC clean (bright setting off)+ Delay

Guitar:-
Neck positon Pickup (Stock Humbucker pickups )
Tone knob at 2

Somehow i just can't get this "punchy dark sweet mellowish golden crisp fresh from the oven" tone and it was to bright in comparison to his. Turn the know to 0 and it will sound as if im playing through an spoilt amp

Therefore would like to hear my fellow experienced guitarist advise on this. Thanks

Building a new i7 Core System

Hi There,

Im kinda new to this forum so forgive me if i sound kinda "begginerish".

Its been a while since i bought my first PC ( A laptop rather), so i have decided to build a new one from ground up. However one of my concern is the components compatibility. Therefore after doing some research, this is what i will putting in my new PC:-

GIGABYTE EX58 CHIPSET UD3R 1366 PCI-E D3 SL
INTEL CORE i-7-920 2.66 GHZ LGA/1366 4.8 L3/8MB
KINGSTON HYPER-X PC1600MHZ C8D3K3 6GB
SAPPHIRE HD4850 VAPOR-X 1GB-D3 256 GRAPHICS CARD
CREATIVE SB X-FI TITANIUM FATALITY PRO
SAMSUNG SH-S2222 22X SATA
LINKSYS PCI WIRELESS-G ADAPTER
SAMSUNG 2494HS 24" WIDE LCD MONITOR HDMI
SEAGATE 1TB 32MB SATA II
MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 BIT OEM
COOLER MASTER CM-690 CASING
THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER 80+ 750W PSU [(Sufficient?)
COOLER MASTER N520 CPU HEATSINK+FAN

However like what i have highlighted earlier, its the compatibility.

Still doubting my own decision over the above. Therefore, would appreciate the helps of experienced PC Builders as to whether the components above are compatible with each other.

Also, my computing needs varies from gaming, video, music and photo editing and wondering whether the above is fit enough to be categorize as med-high or high end system. Thanks
