Can use Car Motor Oil in Motorcycle?

Hi,

As per topic above, I would like to ask all the sifoos out here...

I was wondering if the car motor/black oil can be used in the motorcycle, i.e: EX5, wave, etc.

Reason is because usually when my dad went for an oil change, there will be extra about 600-800ml left.
My house is full of these bottles (About 4-5 bottles already) and I would like to know if we can use it for motorcycle.

**Why throw away if still can be used? **

The oil grade from the bottles are all 15w40

Will it harm my motorcycle engine?

wta compatible rims

Hi sifuus, bros and sis out there,

There is a question I would like to ask on behalf of my father.

My dad's ride is a Proton Saga Iswara (aka Saga aeroback, not the LMST) 1.5cc auto tranny.

He just changed his new tire (x4) and decided to change the rim besi to the standard type of iswara sports rims.

Below are the picture of the rims.

He wanted to change from these rim besi:-

to this kind of iswara sports rims:-

The reason is because the spare tyre sports rim are of the one shown above and he wanted to make everything the same.

He is curious on whether changing all 4 of the rim besi to the sport rims is just the matter of plug and play? Is it compatible? what size is the iswara sport rims? pcd? offset?

Another question would be, how much does the trade in for the old rim besi. I got the info that the tyre shops in Jalan Kapar, Klang have a high trade in value but I am not sure for the alloy rims or rim besi. Just trade in rims without the tyres as the tyres just changed 3 months back!

By the way, I am from Klang.

Hi to all forumers and sifuuss out there.

First of all, I would like to wish you guys a Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Merdeka.

I am having trouble with my mum's car Proton Wira aeroback 1.3GLi 4G13P year 2002, manual transmission. (just verified with the Grant)

The car just went for top overhaul early this year (around Jan-March) due to the white smoke coming out from the exhaust and the mechanics said that its the valve seal had hardened. Change them and the car does not have any problem anymore. Throughout the age of the car, it is well maintained (service accordingly). My mum rarely use the car as she is more comfortable in riding motorcycle.

The car is running stock until few months back (around march-apr), my brother installed grounding cables and a VS.

During the mid of May, I borrowed my mum's car for my industrial training transport in KL, and to my surprise, I found out that the car pick-up is quite bad. At low rpm (especially after traffic light stop and start to move), i can hear the engine roar but there is lack of power to move. For instance, the car beside me usually overtake my car during a traffic stop. Its not so responsive. After a constant acceleration, I can feel that the power is back and the car is able to push forward. For instance, after 5 seconds constant acceleration (without further pressing the gas pedal) in gear 3, i can feel the slight "kick" before changing to gear 4.

My question is, what causes this to happen and is there any way for me to improve the performance without burning a hole in my pocket? Probably a minor performance change.

I had done some brief research and price checking on LYN and there are a few mods such as:

1. change extractor to 4-2-1 = rm100 galvanised steel type
2. LCP = RM200++ jasma brand
3. intake system (performance air filter drop in type) = rm90++ jasma brand
4. short shifter (for faster shifting?) = necessary??

If possible, I would like to remain the car as stock (minor mods will do) as after my industrial training, I will return the car to my mother. Probably will borrow it again in another 2 years time after I graduate.

Sifuus out there, please do advise on which mods to do first and so..
Probably if the first mods can have better pick up after changed, i would not go further into other mods..
