Hacken Lee's China EV run out of battery

Hacken Lee arrives nearly 2 hours late for mainland show, apologizes nine times after 18-hour ordeal

Hacken Lee was due to appear as the finale guest at an all-star concert in Baotou on Saturday (Sep 26), but a series of travel mishaps left him scrambling to reach the venue.

The singer had left Hong Kong at 6am and was supposed to fly from Shenzhen to Xuzhou before connecting to Hohhot. But bad weather forced his flight to make an emergency landing in Taiyuan, Shanxi. By around 5pm, Lee switched to road transport in a desperate attempt to reach the venue on time. Things then went from bad to worse.

The electric vehicle arranged by the organizers reportedly ran out of power after about two hours on the road, forcing Lee to abandon it and hail a taxi.

Retired badminton player now earning 400k a month

Virlution — Tue, 15 Sep 2026 13:11:29 +0800

30-year-old Akane Araki said she would have earned only 200,000 yen (about RM5,280) a month after retiring.

During her active years, she also had to personally cover the costs of private training, shuttlecocks, rackets, and string replacements, which further deepened her doubts about continuing as an athlete, reported the Asian Business Daily.

Two to three months after retiring, Araki saw an opportunity in the remote livestreaming market, which had expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite strong opposition from her family, she moved out and into a small apartment in Tobu-Nerima, Itabashi, Tokyo, paying 60,000 yen (RM1,600) in monthly rent. She then began livestreaming alone using nothing but her smartphone.

To avoid being distracted by negative reactions to her career change, she even cut ties with her former badminton colleagues on social media.

Today, Araki has 231,000 followers on TikTok, and another 102,000 followers on Instagram, earning up to 16 million yen (RM422,200) a month
This is about 80 times more than what she would have earned had she stayed with the team after retiring.

Her rise to fame, however, was far from easy, as she was deceived into unfair agreements and faced criticism online.

Araki paid 1 million yen (RM26,300) in "training centre fees" to join an entertainment agency, but received little actual guidance because of the COVID-19 pandemic and other complications.

The agency also allegedly took 70% of the donations she received from her livestreams.

"Because I spent my whole life in sports and knew nothing about the ways of the world, I ended up being deceived and suffered heavy losses," she shared, adding that she is now cautious of individuals who approach her with business opportunities.

Araki also faced online criticism over her change in appearance, with some netizens accusing her of undergoing plastic surgery after retiring from badminton.

In response, she said she had simply lost 15kg and changed her style, stressing that she had never undergone cosmetic surgery or used an AI avatar.

heard from kawan, old folks kena scam

Virlution — Mon, 22 Jun 2026 16:11:03 +0800

At morning market near the taman some sifu or lamo lou approach the mom (the grandma), say got like bad luck going to hit the family - the son who travel often.
Ask the grandma to take some valuables wrap it up in newspaper bring out to his temple and pray, can come next day and look from him around the market area.

The moment he say wrap in news paper I know its is a swap and replace scam.

so the grandma took some gold and jewelleries wrap it up in newspaper bring out to his temple and pray, after praying took everything back home, keep under the bed for at least 1 week. Dont open the item as they warp in the prayer paper.

After 1 week open up all rubbish as kena swap.... best time is after 1 week, the person long gone, also cannot remember the person face also since time already pass.

dunno like 30-40k gone probably, gold chain, rings, bangles, jade, stones, etc...

Reminder, try not let old folks have too much access to thei expensive things or money, later kena con.
