hi guys, im looking for M2 SSD which is 42mm (2242) for my laptop. 256 gig

anyone know where i can get it? cant seem to find any reputable brand selling in malaysia.

*no i dont want a 2.5" SSD (its already occupied with a 1TB drive
*i dont want some china brand SSD (which i bought from aliexpress. the thing is dying after like 7 months....)

Hi all, im in a dilemma here.

here's the situation:

i have a orico 5 bay enclosure (USB 3 version) with 5x2Tb drive in raid 5 configuration.

i installed windows 10 recently and when i plugged it showed F: drive, so i went into 'computer management' and change the drive to z:

this is where it all starts come crashing down. all of a sudden the drive no longer detects it as a fully formatted drive.

tried another pc also same.

i suspect that the partition got messed up somehow.

i tried plugging all 5 drive directly to my PC (direct SATA connection) and try to scan the disk with a raid rebuilding tool(ReclaiMe File Recovery), it seem to be able to see my files.

i would like to know if i can just rebuild the drives without having to 'recover' all the files and get it to run normally again?

i dont have spare space to cater to the ~5TB files stored in the drive at the moment.

1) possible to just fix it without trying to extract everything out?
2) if not, what free tool around that i can use to extract out my data?

Hi guys, just want to check if anyone has experienced the same issue.

i have 2 5k mah mi power bank which i bought from their malaysia site about 12 months ago.

1 of which i passed to my father which he uses more frequently than me (1-2 times per week) compared to me a handful of time per month.

i noticed that the powerbank holds very little charge compared to when its new (close to 5k mah when new) and now its only pumping out about 1.4k mah now. (both mine and my father's). i have a current monitor for usb which i use to check this.

is anyone seeing the same thing?

Hi guys,

just wanted to know if there are any people having this sort of service.

im looking for someone to help me build a desktop PC which i want to use for general purposes and some mid-high level spec gaming.

but since it'll be in my bedroom, i would prefer it to be a silent pc (water cooling maybe?)

however, so far (as far as my limited knowledge goes) its either Dell (which wants to take off an arm and a leg in terms of pricing) or DIY which i dont think i am able to.

any thoughts?

Hi guys, im wandering on how to upgrade my package for my BB
I think im on the 300+kbps package based on my peak d/l speed of 40k (monthly bill dont say what package im on)

i was wandering how i should go about getting the upgrade. I dont know how the net was installed since i was overseas when it happened but the line is in my name.

1) do i only need to ring them up on the customer service line to get the upgrade?
2) do i need to go telecom in person to do it?

alright, i need some advice on how to setup my home network.
at the moment my setup is as follows...

what i intend to do is to wifi enable the whole house as the router do not have the capability to cover the whole house....

i need some advice from the 'accesspoint?' part, is an wireless access point all i would need?
before i start getting weird question, ill try to answer them

1)why cross cable betw router and switch?
A: the switch is an old 1 which dont hav the switch to enable me to use the normal ethernet cable

2) why bother going tru the trouble of setting up wireless when there's wired
A: wired connection in some rooms are 'yoinked' and it enables me to surf while showering on my pda or in the toilet doing 'business'

ok, now ive got another D-link DSL 2640T, i need to know how to setup WDS...

1)now comes the problem........ the older router had the older shipping firmware which had the WDS config page while the newer router(which had the latest firmware) dont.
ive tried upgrading the older router's firmware and now it doesnt have the page as well.... do i need to downgrade both of them?

2) can i run WDS using ethernet connecting both of the router(ADSL routers BTW) or it must be running through wireless?

3) how to setup??? i've not a clue how to do it

hi, i have a question.... i have a pda which the charger is gone already.

i salvage the cable and jerry rigged it to another adaptor with the same voltage... but the rated current is twice the original the adaptor... will this burn the pda or will the pda stop charging when it's full?

jerry rigged charger (5V 2A) vs the original charger 5V 1Amax...

plugged it in for awhile and it seems to indicate charging but im not leaving it till full atm.... so will this work or it goes kablam??

nikon repair input

im having problems with my flash randomly going off when its mounted on the hotshoe when shaken a little(some of u might remember i had a thread awhile ago.)

camera : nikon d50
flsah : sb-600

atm its in a service centre(nikon authorised but not nikon service centre uk)

they are telling me that i need to change my camera hotshoe+some general cleaning which is going to cost me about equivalent of RM600 and some servicing of the flash which is another RM130-150+

i would like to know if changing of the hotshoe on cam is so expansive? is it worth the price?

any input would be great. i need to know urgent.... thanks.

little 'dilemma' with SB-600

hi, im having a problem with my sb600.

a few months ago the flash unit started acting weird when u put it on the hot shoe of the camera and sometimes when you introduce movement(like tilting your cam front and bck ect..) the flash unit will flash by itself. sometimes it randomly 'discharges' itself and it will take a few seconds to restore charge again.

being naive during my early photography days i bought this gray import flash. so i cant really claim warranty. and whats worse is that im in a country far away from the country of origin of warranty.

i did open up the flash unit to see if a wire has came off or something previosly but didnt find any.(without breaking anything)

then recently when i used the flash things just got worse and the display on the LCD is flashing/blinking. then i noticed that a screw at the hot shoe is no longer there and i opened up the bottom i found a wire broken. i tried taping the wire bck(since i dont have a solder handy) but its still giving me the problem.....

so i would like to know if its worth getting nikon to repair it and get it over with or just ignore the flashing or get another unit....

at the moment i dont know if the i-ttl system is functioning or not but the unit flashes when i take pics and the random self flasshing problem is still present....

if i should try repairing it what sort of % of the the cost of a new unit should i be putting in before i scrap the idea of getting it fixed.... nikon UK charges ppl for estimates even if you decide not to repair it...

im planing to go bck m`sia at the end of aug, so is it better to get it fixed there? do they charge you even if you dont get it fixed?

just saw it today in cinema and it was awesome! if you like satoshi kon's work then this is a must.

the movie itself was brilliant and very good use of cg's, really nice realistic drawings style, superb voice acting and some occasional inside jokes which makes it even better...

i like the music as well(the 1 they also used in the previews).

hi, i have a nikon D50 and the 18-200 vr lense.
recently when i tried to use the cam, i notice that the camera doesnt auto focus anymore. what could be the problem?

ive checked everything(including if the can and lense is set to manual focus) and it still doesnt autofocus.

can some1 help? or im $#@$ed? im trying to aviod to go tru warranty as i bought the lense in m`sia and im now in london....

ok ive determined that my SW motor on the lense is dead as i tried it out in another cam.

how do i go about the warranty? the warranty card is in m`sia and im in the uk. from what i was told, it has the 1 yr international warranty, so do i need to do anything to claim the warranty? or just send the lense + warranty card to nikon UK and get them to fix it?

if so happens that the warranty is only valid for m`sia, what do i need to do? send it to nikon m`sia + warranty card and they fix?

do i need to register the lense or something? coz i didnt do anything when i bought the lense, i just poped in the lense and started using.

sorry if this is a incredibly lame/stupid question, its my first time using DSLR and claiming warranty for the first time (i was pretty lulcky with electronics until now where nothing have yet to break down within warranty period)

automation on photoshop

im trying out the photoshop automation function. i plan to use it to add border to my pics +text automatically.

i got the script thing figured out already but im having problem getting the text to stay fixed. the text will run around when im running the script with pics with different dimension. how to keep the text at a fixed position?

eg.when i add 1 cm canvas and i want my text to be 0.5cm away from the right bottom corner

help would be appreciated thanks.
