What happened to the murderer Zamri Yusof?

Outdated post about a gruesome case that many of us might have forgotten. The Taman Melati LRT amok case.
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3005471

Anything happened after the Magistrate's Court? I hope the case is not being covered up. There should be justice for the 4 victims.
http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013...charged-murder/

QUOTE

KUALA LUMPUR: The delivery man who ran amok and fatally stabbed two men and injured two others here last month was charged with murder in a Magistrate's court.

Muhammad Zamri Yusof, 26, was accused of murdering stationary shop employee Lee Kah Ghee, 38, and college student Kwan Chun Thai, 25 at two locations in Wangsa Maju, between 11am and 12pm on Oct 24.

The charges under Section 302 of the Penal Code carry the mandatory death penalty.

It was reported that a cigarette delivery man, went on a stabbing spree, taking down four victims, including fatally wounding two, in Taman Melati.
His 40 minutes of terror began at 11.20am when he drove his van to a kiosk at the Gombak Putra LRT terminal to deliver cigarettes. Without warning, he pulled out a rambo knife and stabbed the outlet proprietor Lau Siew Ling, 49, and her helper Sulianti Johari, 31.

He then got into his vehicle and drove towards Jalan Pertahanan parallel to the Melati LRT station less than 2km away, and rammed into another van.

When the owner of the van, Lee Kah Ghee, 48, got out to investigate, the man stabbed him several times, leaving him to die on the busy road.

The man then got back into his van and drove a few hundred metres before colliding with a car driven by college student Kwan Chun Tai, 25. He got out and stabbed Kwan.

Kwan ran, but the man chased him, caught him and stabbed him to death in Jalan Tumbuhan.

A crowd of onlookers cornered the man and disarmed him. He was then beaten up and detained until the police arrived and arrested him.

Various BSODs. Repair or Replace? At the junction

Depressed over my 3.25-year-old Toshiba L510. On top of some tolerable failures like keyboard, bluetooth, and webcam, various BSODs and auto restart appeared frequently since last Nov. I was totally pissed off and tried to perform whatever tests I could.

Issue:
Variable BSODs (0x00000050, 0x00000124, 0x0000000A) and automatic shutdown. Sometimes works well, sometimes taking multiple restarts to get into Windows. Happened again even after HDD formatting (I've just formatted on Saturday).

Tests:
BIOS showed as latest version in Toshiba site,
memtest86 negative,
no HDD issues found,
Coretemp shows 65 w/o Prime95 and 75 with Prime95.

Other existing problems:
"Del", "End", colon, and quote keys no longer functioning (relying on external keyboard),
webcam failure (cannot be detected at all),
Bluetooth showing "Service discovery failed" since 2009 (service centre kept claiming that no problem detected when their HDD was used, while problem surfaces with my own original HDD even after formatting).

Okay, here comes the question. Which option should I go?

A) Spend at least RM200 for repair on allerged problematic fan and thermal paste, and risk using with other potential hidden problems (which could suck more money, or simply get the RM200 down to drain).

B) Buy a new laptop at current time of Win8 OS, convertible technology, and price/performance ratio instability.

Hope to listen to your opinions.
Accredited Local Part-time MSc Project Management?

I'm a BEng holder for Chemical Engineering, and wish to pursue for part-time MSc in Project Management (engineering, but not too limited to building and construction) while working in KL. I wish to go for the course accredited by Project Management Institute (PMI).

I browsed through Internet, and the only matching course found is from Curtin Sarawak (http://www.curtin.edu.my/sch_dept/business/Postgraduate/SOB_Project.htm), which is impossible for me to attend. Besides that, the courses offered by UM, UPM, UTAR, and OUM do not highlight anything on accreditation.

Pals, kindly enlighten me if I have missed out any Unis. Thank you!

Occasional Problems on 3-month-old Toshiba L510

Quite a lengthy one, but I try to list down any single detail as I think the problem might be a domino-type rather than on specific device.

I'm not sure what has gone wrong with my 3-month-old Toshiba Satellite L510-S4314 (bought during PC Fair Dec 2009). Previously, the bluetooth fails occassionally. Tele Dynamics serviceman contacted Singapore and told me that the radar software has conflict with Bluetooth driver. He turned radar off and asked me to wait for update from website (yet, I'm still waiting since early Jan 2010).

Now, the problem comes to the speaker. This evening, I brought my lappie out for a presentation. At the scene, the speakers doesn't function at all - there's only "Didak, Didak, Didak" flickering-like sound from left speaker, while the right is silent. Restarting doesn't help and the flickering starts once the word "TOSHIBA" appears until laptop shut down, regardless whether volume is on or off.

Back to room, I tried to use start the laptop using plugged electricity. Well, it went smooth at the beginning. Speakers were all right. But, it turns back to "flickering" status when I flipped the laptop back to check serial number. The plugged external speakers delivered sound well while the left speaker on Toshiba still kept "flickering" and annoying me. See the youtube video and listen to the "Didak, Didak, Didak".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmtNmglWEL4

(Does laptop flipping cause the problem? If yes, does it mean my laptop can only be an unportable desktop due to speaker problem?)

Another similar scenario on the same laptop was the sound "runaway" - as if the media file was corrupted. However, another replay put the responsibility on hardware itself. It is a random condition, where I don't have anything to show the serviceman in case I send my laptop in.
The flickering case is proven, but how should I report the sound "runaway" to authorized service station (currently staying in Ipoh, so unable to talk directly to Tele Dynamics people) when there might be risk of nothing notice at their place. (FYI, in the first repair trip of the bluetooth case, serviceman claimed that no problem was sensed, and it made me spending another few trips going to Regional Tele Dynamics Service Center).

[addedon]March 25, 2010, 2:09 pm[/addedon]Update: The condition worsens this morning. Flickering sound comes back whenever you close the lid. You need to shake around or turn the laptop in all directions to get the music back. See the video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKvOUXDMHXk
