Post Office near LCCT

Hi, i'm planning to head over to the Pos Office near LCCT to collect my parcel but not sure is there any bus from KL Sentral to LCCT

Is there any other way to get there?

If i go over there by taxi, not sure how i will be coming back after collected the parcel.

Any help / suggestion?

SOME HOTWHEELS TERMINOLOGY:
1. ERROR - Hot Wheels with mistake, this either referring to error in car or the card. Error could be wrong wheels, tampo, window, wrong car in card, etc.
2. DEFECT - the same as ERROR... they are both UN-intentional and is NOT mass produced. ..
3. VARIATION - Derivation from the same model, most of the time is variation of colour and tampo.
4. TAMPO - Painted designs that are pre-applied to castings through a pad press process.
5. WAVES - Assortment of the models in each carton. Mattel arrange the assortment according to the wave code in size of 72 cars in a carton. Collectors always refer new wave to new models out to market.
6. DEAD CASE - Means the box/case of 72 hotwheel cars did not contain any Treasure Hunt/$ cars.
7. CASTING - General term that refers to the Hot Wheels model.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak hari ini memberi amaran bahawa rakyat mungkin tidak akan berpeluang untuk menukar kerajaan semula kepada BN sekiranya Pakatan Rakyat gagal menjalankan tugas sebagai kerajaan persekutuan.

Katanya, negara boleh "hancur" dalam tempoh lima tahun sekiranya Pakatan mengambil alih pentadbiran negara.

"Boleh ke tidak mererka ambil risiko, bolehkah kita gadaikan masa depan kita? Ada juga orang kata tapa apa. Kalau tak betul nanti kita tukar balik.

"Jangan kata lima tahun, dalam setahun pun negara kita boleh rosak merudum. Hancur, tertiarap... Ekonomi boleh lumpuh, saham boleh jatuh," katanya dalam ucapan di perhimpunan agung MCA hari ini.

Najib mengambil contoh krisis kewangan yang melanda Malaysia pada 1997, dan menyalahkan menteri kewangan dan timbalan perdana menteri pada waktu itu Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim atas perkara itu.

"Siapa menteri kewangan masa itu? Siapa ambil langkah nak serah kepada IMF (International Monetary Fund) supaya pentadbiran negara, kedaulatan negara serah kepada IMF?," soalnya.

Soalan itu disambut dengan laungan "Anwar" daripada para hadirin.

"Kalau kita benarkan perkara itu berlaku hari ini, sesetengah taikor (pembesar) dalam dewan ini, barangkali pakai selipar getah, kaki ayam (sekarang)," katanya lagi.

Oleh itu, beliau menggessa MCA supaya mengingatkan rakyat Malaysia supaya memilik kerajaan yang mempunyai rekod perkhidmatan dan pengalaman.

50% discount on KTM Komuter fares from Nov 1~

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians earning RM3,000 a month and below are eligible for a 50% discount on KTM Komuter fares for a period of one year from Nov 1 till Oct 31 next year, KTMB announced Thursday.

KTMB Commercial executive vice president Sarbini Tijan said the offer was in line with the announcement made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when tabling Budget 2013 and reflected KTMB's support of the Government's effort to reduce the burden of the people.

Speaking at a press conference here, he said KTMB would be introducing a 1Malaysia commuter card which would be used as an identification card by those eligible for the discount.

"Citizens in possession of the 1Malaysia card can buy tickets at the discounted price at all KTM stations by showing the card together with their identification cards (MyKad)," he said.

Sarbini said those eligible could only own one card each and that there would be a minimal charge of RM1 for issuing it.

If the card is lost, the individual concerned will be charged RM5 for a replacement, he said.

Application forms for the 1Malaysia commuter cards can be obtained from any commuter station or downloaded from KTMB's website http://ktmb.com.my with immediate effect.

For registration and issuing of the 1Malaysia commuter card, 20 special counters will be opened at seven major commuter stations - KL Sentral, Kepong Sentral, Tanjung Malim, Subang Jaya, Sentul, Bangi and Sungai Gadut - with 120 staff mobilised to handle the applications.

The counters will be opened for a month from Oct 22 from 11am to 8pm except for public holidays. - Bernama

LAPORAN AUDIT Jabatan Pendaftar Pertubuhan Malaysia dan Jabatan Pertahanan Awam menerima teguran daripada Ketua Audit Negara kerana menyimpan perabot lama di dalam bilik kebal yang sepatutnya digunakan untuk menyimpan dokumen rahsia besar.

"Perenggan 58 Arahan Keselamatan antaranya menyatakan dokumen terperingkat Rahsia Besar merupakan dokumen yang perlu disimpan di dalam bilik kebal atau peti besi yang sepatutnya dipasang dengan kunci tatakira.

"Bagaimanapun, lawatan Audit ke Jabatan Pertahanan Awam
Malaysia dan Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia mendapati bilik kebal yang disediakan tidak digunakan mengikut fungsi bilik berkenaan.

"Sebaliknya, bilik tersebut telah digunakan untuk menyimpan perabot lama, peralatan pembersihan dan bekalan pejabat seperti ditunjukkan dalam gambar berikut," laporan itu dipetik

Pegawai kastam 'membeli-belah' RM1.82 juta

Seorang pegawai kastam membeli ratusan barangan yang tidak diperuntukkan yang mencecah RM1.82 juta, demikian menurut Laporan Ketua Audit Negara 2011.

Pegawai tersebut, yang tidak dinamakan dalam laporan itu, telah membuat pesanan secara lisan bagi barangan tersebut, yang sesetengahnya berharga ribuan ringgit, dan melebihi kuantiti yang diluluskan oleh Jawatankuasa Penetapan Permohonan Pembelian Peralatan Logistik Pencegahan.

Pegawai itu membuat pesanan berikut:
•Tambahan 50 sistem GPS sedangkan dia hanya diberi kuasa untuk membuat pesanan bagi 30 sahaja, pada harga RM6,174 setiap satu;
•Tambahan 100 lampu Search Light Hell sedang jumlah yang diluluskan adalah 50 sahaja pada harga RM1,292,60 setiap;
•60 lampu beacon pada harga RM1,311 setiap satu, sedang tiada kelulusan untuk membelinya.
•250 lampu suluh yang boleh dicas semula pada harga RM1, 217,16 setiap satu, sedang tiada kelulusan untuk membelinya.
•100 walkie-talkie pada harga RM5,259 setiap satu, sedang tiada kelulusan untuk membelinya.

Pegawai tersebut telah tidak diberi kuasa untuk membuat pesanan bagi lampu beacon, lampu suluh dan walkie-talkie.

Menurut laporan audit, pembelian itu dibuat pada 2007 tetapi pembekalnya, True Target Resources, tidak dapat dibayar kerana bil tersebut telah melebihi bajet perolehan Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia.

Ia menambah, Perbendaharaan pada tahun 2010 telah meluluskan
pembayaran dan satu siasatan dijalankan terhadap pelanggaran peraturan tersebut.

Kementerian Kewangan pada 22 Disember 2010 telah mengeluarkan arahan kepada Jabatan Kastam supaya membuat laporan polis terhadap pegawai terbabit.

"Bagaimanapun, tiada tindakan diambil terhadap pegawai terlibat kerana beliau telah meletakkan jawatan dengan notis 24 jam pada 26 Februari 2008," kata laporan audit tersebut.

Pada 24 Mei 2012, Jabatan Kastam membuat laporan polis terhadap
pegawai berkenaan.

DEATH & EXTORTION AT POLICE LOCKUPS ~

The family of lorry driver P Chandran, who died in the Dang Wangi police headquarters lock-up in September, wants to sue the government and police for negligence.

Based on a post mortem, Chandran, 47, had died due to hypertensive heart disease. The police had allegedly denied him medication while he was in custody.

At a press conference in Parliament, PKR MP for Kapar S Manickavasagam together with the late Chandran’s wife, N Sellvi, 42 and other family members demanded justice for the deceased.

“We are not here because an Indian died. Malays, Chinese, Indians have all died in custody. It’s not a racial issue but a national issue,” Manickavasagam told the press conference.

“Denying a person medication is not right and this was done despite a Magistrate’s order that Chandran be given immediate treatment for his hypertension."

According to the victim's brother-in-law R Rajan Naidu, the police had also asked Chandran's wife to pay RM300 when she sought information about her husband at the Cheras district police headquarters just before his death. Rajan has lodged a police report on this matter.

Rajan also told of how Selvi had to "sleep under a bridge" during the two nights she stayed in Kuala Lumpur to check on Chandran, and to pass him his hypertension medication.

The victim, a lorry driver, and his family which consists of six daughters aged 17 and under, are based in Simpang Renggam, Johor. His youngest daughter is a toddler.

No prior criminal record

According to Dang Wangi police chief ACP Zainuddin Ahmad, Chandran was found dead at 7.20pm by a policeman who tried to wake him from sleep. Chandran, who had no prior criminal record, had been detained on Sept 6 for the suspected kidnapping of a child in Sungai Besi.

But according to the Kapar MP, the police did not allow Sellvi to pass Chandran the medication although she had travelled to Kuala Lumpur all the way from Simpang Renggam, Johor for that purpose

Court releases written judgment on...

KUALA LUMPUR: National bowler Noor Afizal Azizan would not have got off with a bond for five years for having sex with a minor if he had been older or had used force, coercion or violence.

The Court of Appeal said this in its written judgment released Monday.

Court of Appeal president Justice Raus Sharif, who sat with Justices K.N. Segara and Azhar Ma'ah, wrote the grounds of judgment.

He added that Noor Afizal had not "tricked the girl into submitting to him".

Justice Raus said that if Noor Afizal had "not cooperated with the police and he had not shown any remorse to his act or there is no guarantee that he will not be committing the same offence in future, we would not have any hesitation, as we have done in many other cases of similar nature, to impose a lengthy custodial sentence."

There was public uproar on Aug 8 after the court allowed Noor Afizal's appeal against a High Court decision to sentence him to five years' jail for statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl.

In his oral decision, Justice Raus had agreed with Noor Afizal's counsel that public interest would not be served if the bowler received a custodial sentence when he had "a bright future."

In the Malacca Sessions Court, the judge had imposed a RM25,000 bond with good behaviour for five years on Noor Afizal, 21, after he pleaded guilty to raping the girl at a hotel in Ayer Keroh, Malacca on July 5, 2010.

However, the public prosecutor had appealed to the High Court on Sept 20 last year and obtained a five-year custodial sentence, the mandatory minimum for rape under the Penal Code.

Justice Raus said in his written judgment that any sentence to be imposed on cases like this must be based on the facts of each case, that it is "neither feasible nor desirable to attempt to lay down any fixed sentence that is meant to govern this types of cases."

"These observations made by this court should not be misconstrued as intending to have blanket application or applying to all cases involving young offenders charged with similar offence as the appellant here."

Burgermen: S'gor must take the rap 4 water problem

Pertubuhan Ikatan Usahawan Kecil dan Sederhana Malaysia (Ikhlas) mahu kerajaan Selangor bertanggunggung sepenuhnya jika perniagaan di negeri itu terjejas oleh catuan air yang dikenakan oleh syarikat konsesi air.

Ikhlas menegaskan demikian dalam satu memorandum yang diserahkan kepada Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim hari ini. Ia memberi tempoh tujuh hari kepada kerajaan negeri untuk membalas memorandum tersebut.

Ia menuntut kerajaan negeri Selangor mengeluarkan "surat jaminan" untuk "bertanggungjawab ke atas kerugian yang ditanggung" oleh para peniaga jika Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SYABAS) memutuskan untuk memotong bekalan air bersih

Presiden Ikhlas, Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah berkata terdapat 34 loji He rawatan air di Selangor.

Katanya, menurut Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN), Selangor diamanahkan untuk membekalkan air kepada orang ramai dan perniagaan di negeri ini dan kawasan sekitarnya, manakala SYABAS diperlukan untuk membekalkan air bersih kepada pengguna di negeri ini.
Katanya, SYABAS berkata kapasiti pengagihan 34 loji rawatan ialah 4.371 juta liter sehari, tetapi Khalid pula berkata loji rawatan air itu boleh menghasilkan 4,807 juta liter sehari.

Beliau menyalahkan Khalid kerana "mengheret" rakyat Selangor ke dalam isu tersebut, yang didakwanya telah dimulakan oleh kerajaan negeri.

Mohd Ridzuan berkata, jika SYABAS memutuskan untuk mengenakan catuan air, maka perniagaan di negeri itu, terutamanya di Lembah Klang, akan paling teruk terjejas.

Katanya, kerajaan negeri harus berhenti menyalahkan kerajaan persekutuan, yang menurutnya, bermaksud baik untuk rakyat dan berhasrat untuk menyelesaikan krisis tersebut.

Mohd Ridzuan berkata, kalau kerajaaan negeri tidak membalaskan memorandum tersebut dalam tempoh seminggu, Ikhlas akan mengadakan "demonstrasi besar-besaran" di bangunan sekretariat negeri.

Bekalan air bersih di negeri itu diuruskan oleh empat syarikat - SYABAS, Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd (PNSB), Syarikat Belanja Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash) dan Konsortium ABASS.

Bulan lepas, SYABAS - syarikat konsesi air utama - mencadangkan catuan air untuk kawasan-kawasan tertentu Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur.

Ia berkata ini kerana terdapat kekurangan air yang dirawat ekoran permintaan melebihi kapasiti pengeluaran loji rawatan airnya, menyebabkan berlaku gangguan dan tekanan air yang rendah.

Cadangan itu dikecam hebat daripada kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat, yang mendakwa empangan penuh air dan menuduh syarikat tersebut "mereka" krisis.

Najib hints goodies & another BR1M for Budget'13

SEREMBAN: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has spoken of the goodies for the people in Budget 2013, hinting that the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) scheme could continue.

He said the Government could afford to do so as it had done a good job in managing the economy.

“We have done well at a time when some countries, including those in Europe, are having problems. So if our detractors can organise Bersih 1, 2 or 3, this Government will also be able to organise BRIM1, 2 or 3 if there is rezeki (earnings),” the Prime Minister said at a buka puasa event with thousands of people at Masjid At Taqwa in Paroi near here yesterday.

Najib, who is also the Finance Minister, reiterated that the Government need not borrow to provide BR1M aid as claimed by critics.

“The National Finance Council which met today (yesterday) was told that the Government earned an additional RM26bil in revenue for 2011.

“We were able to give out the first BR1M payment due to the sound management of the economy and we shall do more if we continue in our ways this year,” he said, adding that all Mentri Besar and Chief Ministers were present at the meeting.

Citing an example, Najib said the Felda Global Ventures Holdings shares listed recently had been on the uptrend at a time when the value of shares of global brand Facebook was dipping.

“Whenever this Government does something, it is done after much thought and careful planning.

“We do not make promises that we can't keep as this would only bring unnecessary problems in future,” he said.

‘More worthless land bought’~ said by MCA

GOMBAK: The Selangor Government has allegedly bought several other plots of “worthless” land, said MCA Young Professionals Bureau chairman Datuk Chua Tee Yong.

Part of questionable deals between the state government and property developer Talam Corporation were two plots of land on the Ulu Yam hill slope, he said.

“These areas are considered Class 3 and 4 slopes, which means the slopes are above 25° and 35°,” said Chua.

Speaking to reporters after leading them to the site in a field trip in Ulu Yam near here yesterday, Chua, flanked by other state MCA leaders, reminded the people that the Pakatan Rakyat-led state Selangor government had frozen all development plans on C3 and C4 land pending new guidelines on hillslope development.

“So why did the state government accept these two lands at a value of RM18mil in 2010 from Talam?” he asked.

He had previously alleged that the land were part of the RM676mil worth of assets acquired from Talam Corp in a debt restructuring exercise by the state government.

Chua also said the state government had proposed for property management state subsidiary Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad (KHSB) to buy the land but the proposal was rejected.

A second proposal by the state government, an assessment by KHSB, showed that 55% of the land could not be developed while the rest could only be done with approval from the Sensitive Environment Development Technical Committee.

Chua said KHSB did their own valuation and found the entire parcel to be worth RM12.7mil, RM5.3mil less than what the state government had paid for.

“From this deal, we can see that the Pakatan state government has mislead the public again, for accepting a C3 and C4 hillslope land with limited developmental potential,” he said.

He challenged the current state government to reveal agreements signed between 2005 and 2007 by the previous Barisan Nasional administration, which the former claimed they were merely adhering to.

“It is the standard operating procedure of Pakatan to blame the previous state government whenever they cannot explain an issue,” he charged.

IGP: Jangan mudah percaya sebaran kes jenayah~

Rakyat tidak harus mempercayai sepenuhnya kejadian jenayah yang disebar menerusi media sosial, sebaliknya mereka perlu mendapatkan kesahihan berhubung perkara itu melalui sumber yang boleh dipercayai.

Ketua Polis Negara Tan Sri Ismail Omar berkata ini kerana terdapat jenayah yang disebar media sosial hari ini sebenarnya adalah kejadian lama.

"Penyebaran ini dilakukan bagi menggambarkan seolah-olah jenayah di negara hari ini tidak terkawal, sedangkan ia kejadian lama.

"Jadi, mereka yang membaca atau melihat sebarang berita atau maklumat seperti ini diharap dapat merujuk kepada pihak-pihak berkenaan seperti polis sendiri bagi menentukan kesahihan sesuatu perkara itu," katanya kepada pemberita selepas majlis berbuka puasa peringkat Ibu Pejabat Polis Kuala Lumpur semalam.

Beliau turut menyifatkan perbuatan itu sebagai tidak bertanggungjawab dan tidak bermaruah.

"Buat apa kita nak beri gambaran bahawa negara kita tidak selamat. Saya gesa mereka yang melakukan perkara yang tidak bermanfaat seperti ini dapat menghentikannya segera," katanya.

Sementara itu, sebagai inisiatif berterusan bagi mengurangkan kadar jenayah, Ismail berkata seramai 300 anggota polis Bukit Aman digerak untuk meronda di lokasi yang dikenal pasti Kontinjen Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur sebagai lokasi tumpuan.

"Lokasi ini juga dikenal pasti berdasarkan aduan daripada orang ramai. Setiap hari ada pegawai polis yang berpangkat sehingga Superintenden dan Konstabel di Bukit Aman turun padang, khususnya di lokasi seperti di pusat membeli-belah, lokasi tertentu di Brickfields, Bangsar dan Damansara," katanya.

Beliau berkata langkah ini dapat memberi keyakinan kepada masyrakat bahawa polis akan terus melindungi mereka daripada ancaman jenayah, dan jumlah anggota bertugas bergantung kepada keadaan, mengikut keperluan semasa.

"Kita juga telah capai persefahaman dengan pengusaha pusat membeli-belah untuk melatih 'house detective' mereka iaitu pegawai keselamatan yang bertugas di pusat beli-belah bagi meningkatkan keupayaan mereka menjaga keamanan," katanya.

Pada majlis itu, beliau turut menyampaikan sagu hati RM3,000 kepada balu bekas anggota polis yang bertugas ketika darurat dan anggota yang cedera semasa Perhimpunan Aman.
