Hi ppl,

I bought the above notebook recently but I couldn't get both the USB 3.0 ports it to work with my USB 3.0 ext hdds.
I can use USB 2.0 ext hdd & pendrives without any problems.
The sole USB 2.0 port could work with my USB 3.0 ext hdd though.

Is this a hardware problem? Should I send the notebook for repair?

Hi ppl,

I've recently bought parts to build rebuild a new PC (reuse old casing).
It's an i3-4130 + Asrock H81M-HDS. (I've listed the mobo bcos I suspect it's causing the problem).

I've installed Windows 7 and its acting weird.

1. All my usb 2.0 external hdd cannot work. (usb 2.0)
But all my usb 3.0 ext hdd works.
I know my usb 2.0 ext hdd are working bcos they work fine when I plugged them into my notebook.
(Another VERY frustrating thing... all my usb 3.0 ext hdds don't work with my notebook... ARGGGHHH)
[My notebook is Asus X550D... appreciate if anyone can help me on this as well]

It's killing me. I have never encountered such a WEIRD problem before.
(I have to transfer files via my 4GB pendrive and it ain't fun...)

usb 2.0 pendrives work on my PC... only the ext hdd.

2. While I was installing apps and etc... suddenly my usb mouse & keyboard doesn't work.
No matter how many times I restart the PC... I have to reformat & reinstall fresh windows.
This is my 5th reinstall already... it looks fine now but I would HATE for this to happen when I have
finished installing & setting up the PC for actual usage.

Please someone.... help? I have never encountered these problems before and I have no idea how to fix it.

Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

Hi ppl,

I'm not an avid gamer and don't mind playing games at CRAP settings (lowest setting) but I do run my pc 24/7.
I'm guessing getting APU would be better since I don't need to worry about the extra heat from a separate graphics card and I don't need to worry about its fan gathering dust. But I'm not sure if the APU would generate a LOT of extra heat and offset this.

Would appreciate if you guys can give me a few suggestions or correct my assumptions if they are wrong.

I'm interested in Kaveri A8-7600 but I couldn't find it in the pricelist (cycom, viewnet, etc...). Is there a reason why ppl are not selling it?

I'll be reusing the monitor & casing (CM 690) from my prev rig (6 years old... died on me 2 days ago).

I just bought a Hybrid USB Stick Pro from KWorld. (Plus TV Hybrid USB Stick Pro - 325U)

But I can't get it to work.

I just want to be able to play my PS2 and Wii games and watch it on my PC's LCD Monitor (while my PC is running other tasks).

I keep getting "Cannot init Direct show interface error" message.

I'm using Vista 32bit. Help?

I'm looking for a tablet pc for my boss. He prefers Toshiba but R400 is the only model available locally.
Isn't this an OLD model (2007 yes?). I saw the spec... it's like ... wow... CRAP but the price is HUH??!!!

Did they print their brochure wrong or something?

RM4,999 for a Core Duo U2500 - 1.2Ghz processor, 1 GB RAM, 80GB HDD and WiFi only A/G.

Isn't that ridiculous? I mean HP's TouchSmart TX2 beat it from from every angle possible. Am I missing something?

Hi ppl,

I'm currently using Asus's A7J. I have to say I'm very happy with it but it's about time I replace it. (1.83Mhz...)

I was dissapointed when I failed to find even one 17" notebook in Digital Mall today.

Asus G2 is way too expensive and I definately do not need 2 graphics card in my notebook... nor do I fancy my notebook lighting up like a christmas tree.

So erm... any suggestions? I'm hoping to bag one in the upcoming PC Fair... I orignally had high hopes for Asus's M70 but so far... the reviews aren't very positive.

I'm not really keen about Dell's notebook but based on reviews... Dell Studio 17 seemed quite good. Anyone seen it b4?

Any info/help is greatly appreciated.

Q8200 vs Q6600 if going for 3.2Ghz only...

Hi ppl,

I've never OC b4 but am thinking of doing it for my upcoming PC. I'm content with 3.2Ghz so am looking for the best way to get there.

Originally I was pretty set on Q6600 since there r sooo many successful examples around here and I feel safe knowing I can get help when needed but I'm worried about the heat problem. Apart from having a CPU cooler, I don't have any special cooling added. Q8200 seemed like a better option from that point of view. However, I'm given the impression that it's not a good candidate for OCing.

So, I'm left to wonder... If I only want 3.2Ghz (that's not OCing a lot yes?)... will a Q8200 do it easily? Or is that already pushing it's limit? The mobo I'm eyeing on is EP45-UD3L from Gigabyte and I'm only using normal Kingston DDR2 800 rams.

Help with FL Studio... vocal + beat

Hi people,

I'm an utter noob at this but I have only 1 day to get it done for a children's christmas presentation.
I've got a pre-recorded vocal and a looping beat made by my niece with matching tempo. How do I "merge" or record both of these together in FL Studio 8?
Or should I use another software? I'm told Adobe Audition can do the trick but I have no idea how to get the looping beat to loop. I've imported both the vocal (mp3) & beat (also mp3, made from FL Studio) into it (Audition) but the supposed to be looping beat only played once and it stopped.

Help?

Dear ppl,

I know there are already a LOT of "which ISP?" questions floating around so I hope you will forgive me if you feel this is redundant. I'm posting this because I need feedback on a SPECIFIC area; namely Phileo Damansara II. I hope there are people using corporate lines in this area. We're currently using Streamyx 1Mbps line and I guess you don't need me to SPELL out just HOW bad it is... I'm hoping there is ANOTHER choice out there for me.

As of right now, we have a secondary line from TIME and I have to say that (even though it has it's weakness) is WAY WAY BETTER than Streamyx. But I don't want two lines from the SAME company. So, if you're around this area and am surfing happily... please share the joy?
