Hi everyone,

Today I bought a MAS flight ticket for my sister and to my shock, the name that appears on the flight itinerary that was sent to my email was not my sister's, but mine. I'm 200% sure that I didn't put or type my own name while filling in the passenger's details. Realizing this, I immediately called MAS customer service under the online booking department and was told that there is nothing that MAS can do to help me. I asked whether this mistake was due to me putting in my Enrich number, but the CS lady said it couldn't have been the cause, because MAS does allow people to use the Enrich number for booking for another person. I asked a few times whether a name change is possible, but she told me that MAS cannot do that. I then asked her to confirm if the same thing wouldn't happen again if I book a new ticket, but she was not really sure what to answer but was certain that there was no technical error on MAS' part. She then directed me to the Enrich department. However, when I explained everything to this other lady, she said that she cannot help me solve the problem because it should be handled by the online booking department. Long story short, the call was ended before I finished talking and I was so upset and didn't think that another phone call to MAS would change anything. So here I am, posting this on Lowyat hoping for advice from all of you here. If you have experienced a similar issue please do share it here so that I know I'm not the only one and this is not the first time such mistake happened, so it can at least somehow prove that MAS is the one at fault here. Maybe I'm in denial but I'm not the type of person who does a mistake like this, especially when it involves my money.
