Hi All,

I just bought a new laptop - Lenovo Ideapad G470 (Model - 20078) and i found out some graphic card problem.

I check the spec online and all shows this laptop come with Radeon graphic card but CPU-Z shows 2 graphic device (Mobile Intel ® HD Graphics and one more with ATI Radeon Graphics Logo BUT NO NAME for the GPU)

I run DXDIAG and some weird thing come out

How come the card name is Mobile Intel ® HD Graphics but the manufacturer is ATI Technologies Inc. ?

Hey guy
recently i just get a compaq presario B1200 (B1286TU) for office use
but when i facing some problem to the network interface card
those driver i found is all for window vista but due to my work i have to use window xp
i tried to installed the driver for window vista but it seem like no use at all.

does anybody face this kind of problem before ?

and anybody can kindly share the NIC driver for window XP or any solution if u have

Does anybody know what error 127 stand for / the reason cause it ?

I'm trying debian lenny at vmware
but my keyboard layout is weird..
when i press Y , it show me a Z
i suspect that it is not USA keyboard layout
does anybody know how to change to USA keyboard layout ?

i installed a program name pcsc-lite (version 1.5.2) and when i trying to run the program , some error show and you may check it with the picture uploaded.

i nid this program to run a usb device, but it is disabling support for usb,
does anybody know solution ?

i just installed debian lenny
but i unable to access internet using browser

does i need to do any configuration to it ?

p.s : i unable to detect DHCP during installing also
and i tried to set it with both static ip and automated (DHCP) also can't get any connection

I'm using debian lenny's full CD1 to install a new linux
and i choose to install grub at master boot - i think is the partition with windows xp
but when i restart computer
my com. straight boot xp ....
and i can't see the partition installed linux at My Computer ard
does anybody face this kind of problem also ?

hello everybody

i already installed a program named pcsc-lite-1.4.102 and it is a transceiver's program
after installed it and trying to run the software, terminal show that a pcscd.pub already exists.(screen shoot #1)

i email to the support of the transceiver manufacturer and this is the solution they teach

Hello,

it seems another instance of pcscd is still running on your system, maybe there is the version, shipped with your distribution, still active. Please stop this instance with

killall -9 pcscd

Then clear /var/run with

rm -rf /var/run/pcsc*

and restart your pcscd with ./pcscd -f -d

Please be aware that pcsc-lite 1.4.102 uses libhal.c by default. To have no troubles you will need to recompile it with the following parameters:

./configure --disable-libhal --enable-libusb

to get the reader to work properly.

Please be aware that on some distributions it will be also necessary to uninstall the libpcsclite.so.1 versions, otherwise the readerdevice can not start when a newer version of pcsclite is installed.

i'm trying to install a software name ftdi_sio and it is a usb/serial converter.
during building [make] , some error appear

cc1: error: /lib/modules/2.6.18-4-486/build/include/linux/modversions.h: No such file or directory

a file named modversions.h is missing

after searching the solution thru google,
i found that alots ppl say "make sure you have the kernel-source and kernel-headers installed"
how i gonna know whether kernel-source and kernel headers is installed ?

and does anybody face modversions.h problem before ?

hai everybody

currently i'm using debian linux run on VMWare
i might want to install some driver for my project
but the gcc compiler bring me alots of problem

this is the screen shoot of the synaptic package manager
and as u can see , there is a gcc 4.1 installed

but when i trying to configure something....
this stuff showed to me

is it because the gcc is old version or any problem ?
