My S70 is coming next Tue but I'm only really free to take it on next Sat.

Is it wise or stupid to ask SA to help bring to tint outside (my friend's shop) first and keep the car for few days at Showroom until next Sat?

Barring any serious issue (which should be detected during pre-delivery inspection), most ppl won't reject and not sign the delivery order due to cosmetic and minor nitpicks right?

24 inch monitor discussion

Hi guys, I'm back again for another round of question.

I bought and tried the 27" monitor but sadly my eyes cant adapt to it (headache + eyes strain) despite the beautiful color and size.

I'm going to return the 27" monitor and downgrade to 24" monitor.

However, I'm still undecided between 1080p (works great for Windows) and 1440p (works great for Mac & movies). Anyway, I'm leaning towards usage for leisure after work since we're no longer expect to WFH soon.

So, I'm currently looking at these 2 options:-

1) 1440p - LG 24" 24QP750 (downside no speaker but has USB-C)
2) 1080p - Viewsonic VX2485-MHU

Appreciate if the sifus can chip in on the above choices or recommend alternatives.

Hi all sifus,

Would appreciate if you guys can give some recommended monitor(s) based on the usage/requirements below, since this is my 1st time hunting for external monitor.

RM1,500 - 2,000 (don't mind top up a little but I want to save some budgets for adapters/external keyboard, etc)

Usage
1) Windows Laptop for work (excel, email, etc)
2) MacBook Pro for leisure (internet browsing, Youtube, Disney+, etc)

Screensize
27 inch should be ideal? I don't mind if it's 32 inch though ....curve or non-curve is fine too

Speaker
Preferably comes with speaker

Peripheral ports
Preferably comes with USB-C so I can swap my windows laptop and 2019 MacBook Pro (13") easily without getting additional adapter /converter (is this actually possible?)

Display & others
IPS and 4K (not a must)? Screen refresh rate should not be important since I don't play games on my laptop?

Hi everyone,

I need some help here.

My mother is still using the ancient Talk & Surf mobile plan as of today and I want to help her to get the Hotlink Postpaid 30/40

However, when I talk to the kiosk merchant at mall, it seems that I will have to port out from Maxis to 3rd party then "port back" to Hotlink for the plan conversion to work ...

Is this true? I'm trying to find a more efficient way (but I was stuck at online porting request since I can't choose Maxis as current telco service provider in later step) ...

Panasonic Bayu 4 Ceiling Fan problem

Update 1: I noticed that the circuit board is not tightly fitted into the bracket as well and also read that some ppl mentioned faulty circuit board could be the culprit .. For now I just slid in papers again to make sure the circuit board is tightly fit (or at least will not make noise when moving/knocking against the plastic bracket)

Are the fan blades supposed to be tightly fit inside the bracket (circled in red)?

Out of the 4 blades/brackets, 2 are loose/not tight enough.

When I tried to force to fit with hand, the blades will just snap out of the bracket after few seconds ...

Am wondering if there's any way to deal with this?

I suspect some of the "krik..krik.. krik..." / "tut .. tut ... tut " noises are due to the loose blades/brackets

p/s: The cables in top bracket are tied properly so the noises is not caused by the cables hitting the canopy (the edge is also taped)

How hard is it to move into to the role of a Senior Financial Accountant, after being a Tax Accountant for like the past 7-8 years?

To be honest, I’m starting to feel the restriction of being a tax specialist since it’s really a niche market for job opportunities.

Ideally, this would be a good chance for me to expand my skill set. However, I’m kind of afraid to make the jump because tax has been all I do for my whole career.

I’m wondering if I’m properly equipped or capable of the transition.

Also, what is the difference between Financial Accountant and Accountant roles in the same company?

Question re: Panasonic Bayu 4 Blades

I suspect that the blades' safety pins are not tighten up properly thus making noises intermittently ..

However, I'm not sure how the technician previously fixed the decoration cap cause now I can't remove it at all after 2nd installation (I have no issue in removing and fixing the decoration cap before the 2nd installation - which is just turning the cap left & right)

If I exert too much force, it will move (rotate with) the ceiling hook altogether (this honestly freaked me out).

Appreciate if anyone can give advice how to remove the decoration cap by myself, without affecting the ceiling hook ...

ticking noise from ceiling fan

2 months ago, I replaced my old ceiling fan with Panasonic Bayu (4 blades).

About 1 week ago, I started to hear some ticking noises from the ceiling fan intermittently.

I've tried to tighten the exterior screws without messing too much on the interior as I have no expertise/knowledge on dismantling/installing the whole thing.

I plan to schedule appointment with the electrical shop to solve this problem.

Meanwhile, does anyone know what is the cause of the noise? doesn't sound/look like bearing/motor problem
