WD My Book Live. Very Slow Transfer Speeds

Hi guys,

As the topic name states. The my book live is connected to my unifi router. When I try to copy something over the network. I'm getting speeds like 500/600kbps. It's extremely slow. Is there any tweaking on my router that I can do to speed up the transfer rate?

Hi Guys,

I am considering applying for Maxis Fiber Internet that comes with a fixed line. I am also considering adding additional fixed phone lines with Maxis. However, I just want to know, will I be able to hook these phone lines to a Panasonic Hybrid Keyphone System?

PSU Problem?

I turned on my PC today morning for the first time in 3 days. It was working fine for an hour then suddenly it shutdown. Now when I Power On, it immediately shuts down and restarts on its own. It just keeps repeating this process.

The power indicator lights are lighted up on the MOBO. So I dont think the MOBO is the problem.

What I have tried so far:

- Remove the Graphics Card and Turn on but same problem.

- Reconnect all PSU cables again

- Rest CMOS

I suspect two things though:

Either the CPU is not being cooled properly (but the HSF seems to be working alright when I visually inspect)

or

The PSU is dead

What do you guys think?

Settings for 32 Inch LCD TV

Hey guys,

I recently hooked up the PC to a Panasonic 32 inch LCD TV using a HDMI cable. I am using a Sapphire HD6850 GPU.

However, when i look at the output, the images are very jagged and not really clear. Ive tried different resolutions but still its not very clear.

Have I forgotten to adjust something?

Unable to Enter Bios

Hi guys,

I just installed some new components on my PC. They are:

i5 2310
Asus P8 z68 -v LX
2 X 4GB ddr 3 ram
Saphhire HD 6850

After I installed everything and powered up the PC. First of it says CPU Fan error. I dont know why because the CPU fan is spinning and seems to be working. Then I see press F1 to run setup. After I press F1 the mouse cursor appears and it just freezes. Nothing happens after that.

Any ideas anyone?

Motherboard recommendation

I'm planning to upgrade my pc and here are the specs I most likely will include.

I7 2600k
Kingston 2x4gb DDR 3 ram
Radeon HD4670 512mb DDR 3

The only problem I have now is deciding which motherboard to get?

So far I have narrowed it down to:

Asus Maximus IV Gen Z/ Gen 3

Asus P8Z68 V Pro/ Gen 3

What do you guys think? Or if you have any other suggestion it would be great to hear.

Also,I plan to spend not more than RM800.

PS3 Graphics Settings

Hi Guys,

I just hooked up my PS3 to my LG Flatron W2361V LCD Monitor. This monitor support full HD and have connected using a HDMI cable.

However, when I power up a game, the graphics are very jagged and blur. Not High Def at all.

Also, I tried to connect the PS3 to my Panasonic LCD TV and the graphics were perfect, was HD quality.

Anyone, have any ideas as to how to fix the problem?

Cannot See Wireless Network

Hi Guys,

I just purchased a new Dlink Wifi Router today. I set up it up and everything looked good. I was able to connect through LAN and surf the internet from my laptop. However, when i disconnected the LAN cable and tried to connect via WIFI, i was unsuccessful. I could not even see the wireless network on the available network list. I thought it could be the router problem, but I was able to see the network and connect to it through my iphone. So I am thinking its now more of an issue with the computer, I am using windows xp SP 3.I even tried restoring to factory setting but still no change.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to solve this problem?

No Sound From Rear Speakers

Hi Guys,

I just purchased a Creative sound blaster 5.1 sound card. When i test the speaker using the creative application, sound comes out from all 5 speakers but when I play a music file I only hear from the front 2 speakers. There is no sound from the rear speaker. Can anyone help with this?

PC Unable to Start

Hi Guys,

I bought a new CPU cooler today. It's a Cooler Master N620. After I fixed it and turned on the computer, the screen was blank. My monitor appeared to be going into standby mode. However, the lights and fans all appeared to working as per normal but still there was nothing on the monitor. So I tried reinstalling the CPU Cooler again, reconnected all the wires and also exchanged graphic's card with another one but still had the same result which was a blank screen.

I am thinking maybe it could either be the processor or the motherboard problem. However, I left the PC running for a while and felt that the heatsink was hot so perhaps it may not be the processor.

Could it be the Motherboard? If so, is it an expensive fix or should I get a new one?

My Computer Specifications are as follows:

Pentium 4 3.2 GHZ
Asus PTGD1-LA Motherboard
2 GB RAM DDR
Sapphire HD4670 512MB DDR 3
Cooler Master N620 Cooler

Any feedback or assistance is very much appreciated.

HDMI Settings

I recently bought a LG Flatrom W2361V 23 Inch Monitor. My Graphics card is HD4670 512MB DDR3. Both monitor and GC have HDMI cable connector.

The problem is the graphics is like so blur, i expected much more when using HDMI cable. I have updated the drivers but still no difference.

My previous monitor was a compaq 17inch LCD using VGA cable, it was way way more sharper and clearer then the current monitor ans cable I am using. Is there some setting that i am missing out on?

Graphic Card Problem

Hi again guys, my pc just gives me one problem after another la.

My graphics card is Sapphire PCIE HD4670 512MB DDR3, after 10 minutes or so after startup the screen just flashes on and off like intermittent display, one moment its on the next is off then its on. Any ideas?

CPU will not turn on

I bought a CM 690 Nvidia Casing yesterday. I tried to hook it up last night but it did not turn on. When i press the power button nothing happens. Im pretty sure its got something to do with the wires from the front panel plugged into the motherboard. I'm not too sure where each wire goes as it is seperated into power switch, reset switch, power led, hdd led, etc.

My Motherboard is Intel i915G

Personal equipment
Modem: D Link DSL-2640T
Router: Same as Above (2 in 1 router and modem)
Firewall used: Windows Firewall (Windows XP Professional SP3)

Problem details A couple of days ago, my internet stopped working. I called streamyx up and they said they are doing upgrading in my area and the connection will be back up today at 7am. So at 7am i tried to connect but nothing worked. My LAN connection said limited or no connectivity. So I called them again and they said I have to set up a bridge a connection. They showed me how to do it and then I had to create a new connection to connect manually instead of previously just plugging in the LAN cable and using the internet. Anyway, once i connected to streamyx manually, the internet worked.

However, the other computers in my house cannot use the internet using wireless. All the other computers can find the network and connect but when they start to browse it does not work.

Could this be a problem with my Router/ Modem? I suspect maybe because there was heavy rain and thunder 2 days ago maybe it burnt out something in the modem? What do you guys think?
