Hi all,

I was graduated last year, currently working in a foreign bank under operations division for almost one year.

The working environment & cultural are good. Manager is okay, but sometimes too quiet and not much talking to everyone.
I wish I could learn more and get more feedbacks from him for my career growth.

On the other hand, my work content is boring (honestly) as highly repeating and 99% are administrative work.
The value adding of this job seems to be limited.

Perhaps, this could be a great job for many who are looking for stability in life.. But to me, I think I really need more exposure.
I wish to become a good boss in someday lol.. I mean, I want to be successful in my career.
I want a career that I could strive really hard for it..

So now, a simple but serious question: Shall I quit my current job?

What do you think is the best method to climb the corporate ladder in operation division of financial institution?
Some people do not know much and they're on the top. Management skills? Project? Networking?
How to influence or manage people who is much more senior than you?

Which plan should I choose?

Hi all,

I have an android smartphone (without data plan), an IPad (just brought) and I'm using streamyx at home (RM25, sharing with housemates).. I was thinking if the 'Mifi' plan of U mobile for me to combine the data usage and expenses of all the devices..? Or any other better suggestions? Prepaid or postpaid data plan? Looking forward for your kind suggestion. Thank you!

Just to share my dilemma and hope you guys can give me some advices..

There are 2 guys in this story.. A & B..

Mr. A is a guy that I know at my workplace when he came to service my laptop.. After that, he got my number from his company's customer info system I guess and start to court me.. Being very good to me.. Seems like really care for me, but somehow I'm quite reserved towards him as feeling that not really matched (no much common topics and kinda feel that he is kinda 'ah beng' althou towards me he is still ok but looking at his frens.. perhaps just my instinct..)
Also felt that he's kinda hamsup.. Remembered 1st dinner with him, he already started to touch me, which made me really quite uncomfortable..

So initially I was really acting coldly towards him: by not answering his call or late replying his msg.. But he didn't give up and still showing cares for me.. Makes me kinda touching maybe.. But I'm quite doubting with his personality actually.. suspecting that he's going after for other gal at the same time as he's always busy with his fon and there's one time I bumped him with other gal..

Mr. B is my colleague.. He's a handsome but shy guy.. Heard from his fren that he never has a galfren b4 (same like me and actually we are quite good looking) Honestly I had crushed on him but I'm hesitate if I have to tell him or not.. There's another gal who openly go after him but he's also hesitating I guess.. I'm kinda shy and scare of being rejected, then will be quite awkward as we will have a lot of interaction at our job.. There's one time we were emailing and I think I had gave him some hints.. And he said guy like him not suitable for me and asked me whether I'm still single.. And then he said he wanna help me to find a bf..

So guys, really need some advices from you guys... Shall I just accept Mr. A since he's quite caring to me..? Or tell Mr. B that I like him? Or just remain current situation.. Being 23 yrs old and I never 'pak to' before.. (perhaps I'm choosy..) so I decided not just to wait anymore but have to grab chance if necessary.. Thanks..

Surrender or not?

Dear all,

For your info, I'm currently working at a bank under a talent program. Decided to leave bcoz of the high level of office politics, unrealistic expectation and also, most importantly, there's no proper career plan for me in this program. HR and the committee were pushing by saying that this is the 1st batch so pls bear with them. Management and colleagues are friendly, I like them but I really have to move on. I had tired of making myself super duper friendly, and always have to be super assertive in asking for tasks or projects for me to join; or else no one will want to bother or even simply push me away. And I'm really sick of my current direct supervisor, who will actually pointing middle fingers and using F words during meetings or daily interaction. I was preempted before, and tried to make myself adapted to his leadership skills. But I think it's time for me to go now as I realized learning opportunities under him are limited; and I'm looking for a better future for my career where I can develop my own value, skill and knowledge.

My question is:
- I will get confirmed by this coming Jan, and I'm just about to start to look for a job. I know I should actually resigned after getting another offer. Just to ask, what are the risks for me to resign now? Will it be easy or hard to get a job at this point of time (year-end / new year)?

- How can I leave my current company in a good way? I really do not want to burn the bridge bcoz i might work in the same industry again (banking). Is there any chances for me to ask for recommendation from my current boss? Is like quite awkward but I might need it to get other job faster, as I got financial burden so I really can't afford to be unemployed for long..

- What is the fastest way to get a job? Jobstreet? Any other faster access? Actually I don't really faced much hassle in getting my first job becoz I was offered before graduated. And I have the confidence of getting the position once interview opportunity was given. The application process of job seems vr tedious..

Please kindly advice.. Thank you..

Hi girls, mother day is coming soon, and I would like to buy my mom a pair of shoes which is very comfortable, not slipery and durable. Do you guys have any suggestion for it? I wonder if a pair of crocs is worth for the money, as will it be really comfortable that kind? Since nowadays fake one are everywhere and I wonder is there any difference between real crocs and fake one. Can anyone with original crocs kindly share the experience with me? Whether it's worth for the money. I'm still a student but willing to spend my mom for the best, just would like to find out that whether it's really good.
