Car for a student?

As the title refers, I am in a pursue of buying a used car hopefully by the end of this year once I save enough cash (as for now I have allocated about 30% of my budget)

Frankly speaking I'm looking for a satria with a price tag around 10k-15k. As from what i concern the price tag suits the students like me that wish not to pay for the car every month. So yeah I'll get the car in a sum of cash. My planning is to use the car till i finish degree and then once I start working I'll buy different car (lets see how it goes ) then might be keeping this (future)satria and mod for different purpose.
And just to let you know, I love bodykit modification, I prefer to get a car at RM10k and do a complete custom bodykit(not so ganas) and do a engine overhaul?

Alright my concerns are,

1. Is the car such produced on year 1995-1999 is a safe buy? As in terms of the engine condition and fuel consumption? Lets assume the mileage 100k to 150k.

2. From what I heard, most of the satria owners recommend to convert the engine from fuel injection to 4g(sohc or mivec).
From your perspective, which is better? To find for satria with engine converted or just go for stock fuel injection? Even if engine converted, does it make a high change in fuel consumption?

3. And does buying a turbo satria is a bad decision for a student like me?

4. Servicing! How much will it roughly cost in an average ofcourse?

Maybe if i find something like this when i got the cash is it a good buy?

http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Satria+1+3+MANU...ER-13963741.htm

http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Satria+Turbo-13835937.htm

http://www.mudah.my/SATRIA+GSR+TURBO+DOHC+...IM-13719742.htm

http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Satria-13660389.htm
