So Notepad++ developer release new version yesterday, naming it Free Uyghur.

Today Notepad++ Github repo swarmed by mainland Chinese dev. Doesn't seems like a bot as the account is active in other repo. Notepad++ website is slow as well, most probably because of DDoS.

As per title, asking for a friend(inb4 me).

Business is online service which currently being run in shared/coworking office. Currently got 2 staff and planning to add 2 more before next year.
Cost and privacy are major concern.

I've done the calculation and the cost to rent(or even buy) 2 storey semi-D in the nearby area will be cheaper than paying for 5 desk in shared office. This already include recurring like TNB, TM etc. Plus tons of extra space.

Any of you have experience with this?

Hi,

I'm evaluating job offer from overseas company. Its a remote position.
I'm slightly confused by the contract wording and hope you can shed some light to it.

On maternity, paternity, compassionate , and sick leave. The contract mentioned,
"The company will comply with statutory obligations in accordance to Malaysian law".

I quickly browse through Malaysia employment act and here's my findings.
Maternity - 60 days
Paternity - Nil
Compassionate - Nil
Sick - 14 days, 60 days for hospitalizations

Is this correct? I'm bummed on the paternity leave.

I know I should clarify this with them, but I wanted to make sure I'm prepared with the correct info.

I'm committed to donate blood every 3 month. But having problem on where to donate to.
Usually I'll search for nearby blood donation campaign, but its getting troublesome to keep up.

Clinics at my place only acccept blood donation during office hour, every Wednesday or Thursday. Which is a hassle for me.

Anyone know which clinic or hospital can accept my blood on weekend? Preferably Putrajaya/Puchong/Bangi area.

Hi guys,

Is it possible to add bottom pagination to Lo-Fi page?
There 1 on top of the page, but would be great if you can do the same to bottom page too, to avoid scrolling back to top page should I want to go to next/previous page.

I know mobile version have what's stated, but I always prefer vanilla Lo-Fi looks.

Hi,

Not sure if this is possible but I'm using Streamyx and need TM IP lis(at least for Streamyx)t to whitelist in my server.

Reason being
I'm setting up my own external DNS server in SIngapore, and only want to allow traffic from my home router.

Unfortunately the router doesn't support Reverse DNS.

Just trying my luck here. Not sure whether its possible.

Personal finance for building house

Here goes,
I have piece of kampung land with shared grant. Around 10 acres with 7 names. My dad 1 of them.
Basically separating the grant is not an option since its very troublesome. Been there, done that.

Now, I'm considering building a house for my own stay on this land. I'll settle down here anyway as all my other siblings.
As the grant is shared, EPF withdrawal or getting loan to "build a house" is not an option. So I'm left with personal loan.

Amount: rm100k
Tenure: 10years
Installment: rm1.4k/month

Another option that I can think of

Buy rm700k undercon house and wait for it to appreciate, then refinance it and use the extra money to build the house.
But it'll take few years. At least 5 years. Plus, construction cost will only go up by then.

I'm pretty much decided on the personal loan. But can you knock some sense into me?
What other risk associated with personal loan? bankcruptcy? big deal, isn't it quite similar to car loan?
I know the rate is ridiculous, but I don't have any other option, or do I?

Before you ask what kind of house only cost rm100k, just ignore that, I come from contractors family and we have done the calculation.
