On that day, though, the car’s rear window had a sticker that said: “I’m Saving for a New Car — I shop at Tesco”.<br /><br />It was a sticker he had received for shopping regularly at Tesco and that made him eligible for the Spot the Everyday Savers Package Car Sticker Contest.<br /><br />And, that was why the car’s registration number was announced: Palaniandy was of the three grand prize winners who each received RM10,000.<br /><br /><img src='http://thestar.com.my/archives/2010/1/26/central/m_16palaniandy.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />“We have many ways of rewarding our customers and showing them our appreciation for their loyalty, and this contest is one of the ways. For 11 weeks from Nov 2, 2009, until Jan 28, each of the 31 Tesco stores nationwide will identify three customers each week, and each of the customers will get 1,000 Clubcard points. This makes a total of 1,002,300 Clubcard points.<br /><br />Shoppers need only spend a minimum of RM50 n a single receipt to get an Everyday Savers Package car sticker.
