Laptop Recommendation for a school kid

Helluuuuu,

My uncle was asking for my recommendation & help to purchase a new laptop for his family's use, specifically for the primary school daughter to use in her daycare and as a backup laptop for the wife who's not tech savvy at all and works in the accounts department.

The budget is about RM2000-2500 max. It should be lightweight and battery power is good. Not much else required really.

I'm currently using MacBook so I know nothing about the others.

I was looking at Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i (15), what do you guys think?

Thank you!!!

Which android phone to buy?

Currently an iPhone 6 user, planning to get a new phone but the latest iPhone models are waaaaay too expensive and out of my budget.

I am very very reluctant to switch to an android one as I'm a hardcore Apple fan

Not a heavy phone user, mostly on social media apps. Do not play any games on the phone. A phone with a good camera is pretty important to me.

My budget is about RM1.5K.

Any recommendations, guys?

Appreciate it.

Cheers!

Portable Broadband (USB type?)

Hello! I'm going to move into a condo unit without internet, so I will have to get it on my own. I don't have the budget to go for TIME or anything more than RM100 per month, and I might only be using it for less than a year, would anyone advise me which telco brand to go for? I use it mainly for some web browsing, video/movie streaming on my laptop- not too heavy usage though.

Thanks guys!

tan lines?

What do you guys think of girls who've got tan lines from outdoor activities? I'm into cycling since a few months ago and I normally wear singlet with sports bra and long pants while cycling in the morning.

As a result, I am a lot tanner; there are a few different color tones all over my body (and my face) E.g. the parts that are exposed to the sun are a lot tanner. So imagine my upper body has got visible tan lines of a sports bra LOL

I've showed my tan lines to a couple of guys and they say it's no biggie cuz it's a healthy tan, while the female friends think otherwise.

I personally don't like my sports bra tan lines as it's not attractive as bikini tan lines... I guess i'll wear long sleeve to cycling then...

Yoga = muscle gained= weight gained?

I have been practising yoga for a year now.

My weekly gym routine includes 2 x full-hour of yoga sessions & 1-2 x (approx.an hour) cardio sessions. During my first 3 months of workout, my body fat has reduced and muscle mass has increased, but only a very insignificant weight loss, say 0.2- 0.5kg. And i did not step on the electronic scale at the gym since then.

Before joining the gym, I had successfully shed a total of 6kgs within a year without much effort. But I did practise pretty strict eating habit (very healthy though, with no white bread, loads of veggies & fruits) ; small portion (they said i ate like a cat) & did a fair bit amount of house chores to keep myself active.

While some commented that I might look too thin for my body ( I stand at 157cm and weighed about 48kg at that time), I started to 'be kind' to myself.

I have always have a soft spot for pastries and milky stuff, e.g. cakes, bread (wholemeal/wheat bread most of the time), coffee, tea, green tea with milk & bubble tea. While I was heavily indulged in the sea of compliments about my lean body shape (with pretty flat abs), I started to pig-out more & snack a lot more at work.

Things started to change when I joined the gym. I noticed the difference in my body; increased stamina and positive perspective in life as they say exercise does make one feel good.

I used to have some healthy snacks pre-gym and light dinner/supper after gym, but sometimes I can't help myself to consume juice (from mamak, and bless me on the amount of sugar it contains) & sometimes bread with curry chicken.

I just couldn't help it.

The last time I weighed myself, I was about 54kg, pretty much back to the state where I was at my heaviest weight, but I certainly do not look as chubby as I was back then.

My arms are still big and bad thing about me is that, when I have gained weight, say as little as 1kg, it shows on my face. I hate taking photos now as I look so bloated. To add salt to the injury, people tease why do i look a lot chubbier after joining the gym.

I wanted to say that I look much healthier and I hardly get sick but if i look into the mirror, I can pinch the excess meat and sigh what has went wrong.

I'm just gonna drink more green tea and cut down on sweetened drinks and super light meal after gym (or none at all).

Any thoughts on this?
