disc brake pad glazed

my car recently clocked 110K km, and i find the disc brake pads still got around 50-60%, which is quite alot compared to my last persona's ( lasted 40k km only) .

i felt the brake stopping power not that good compared to when first few years, so i went to bleed my brake fluid. the performance gets better abit, but the mechanic say the pads are glazed. thats y the stopping power not that good. The pads interior is shinny and the rotor are shinny too...

any suggestion? i will higher temperature brake pads help in avoiding glazing? mine still ori pads

how to repel dogs

my house area have many stray dogs and irresposible dogs owners who lets their dogs go free. This makes cycling in my area not safe, as the dogs might naik gila and bite or chase at times.

I myself is not afraid of dogs as i owns 2 dogs at home. But of course i duwan to whack them with sticks or anyway. but i also duwan to get bitten as they might carry diseases.

technics component upgrade

hi all.

my uncle gave me a full set of used panasonic se-Hd mini hifi recently. Search on the net shows that it was actually an exact unit from Technics.

the hifi have 4 decks, (master amp, tuner, cd and cassette) all connected through a serial bus cable. I was thinking of upgrading/changing the cassette and cd deck to mp3. Anyone know if this is possible? coz every deck is detachable.

2 years back when i went to ZOO NEGARA..i saw our malaysian tiger.In football.we're called malaya tigers.

I juz came back frm korea. Seeing their tiger in everland. I would say if we were to put their tiger and ours in a cage. Their tiger will goble up ours just like a goat.

Their tigers are huge and muscular. Ours dont even loook fit to be made steak.what a shame.

i just serviced my d-max on saturday ..brought 2 unit Shell helix ultra ( bought from Tesco) to the service centre...reputable and famous around my area.

after service my dad complaint car no power, worse than before service.

so i help check the car this morning ....found that the engine oil is very suspicious.

1. Engine oil colour is green .... left over shell helix returned to me is golden yellow, and shell helix ultra is golden yellow

2. the oil pulled out from engine wont drip from dip stick...while dipping in the left over shell helix oil and pull out drips
alot coz its 5w-40 . (the engine oil in my engine seems very thick, i even tried gear oil SAE90 still drips)

We waited in the waiting room while they service the car. And now this happen..tmr gonna go XXXX the workshop.

Moral of the story : Always stand beside your car when send it for service.

my friend told me not to buy dell laptops just now.

he told me, his unit bought new got mono speakers...then send back to dell for repairs,after 2 months in dell service centre, come back still mono. then complain again, then they say electronic board damaged.

Then battery pack less than 1 year kong already..donno wats the problem.

then the problem now,looks like motherboard kong already...after 5 months still no news from dell.

so i was wondering...dell ini macam ka?

anyone encountered something like this?

hyundai getz 1.3 - engineproblem

i have a 2004 CBU hyundai getz 1.3

recently i found that the engine having weird sound when i rev the engine and the fully let go the pedal. this is done in in parking condition.

The RPM meter also react weird, coz when i rev, it goes up smoothly, but when i let go..it will fall,but up to a certain level, the speed of the rpm dropping slowed.So i can see a jerk in the rpm meter as it continues to drop.

This RPM meter jerk comes together with the weird engine sound. Prevously while test driving cars, i found 2 other getz 1.3 having the same problem. but did not pay attention to it, as mine doesn have the problem.

Any getz owners having this problem?what might have caused it?

should i change rims + tyres or just tyre

i'm currently driving spectra5 with stock absorbers and springs, and my car is 3 years +.

my stock rims are 16 inch, and i find the road sound from certain coarse and uneven roads are very bad.currently using 2 unit achilles ATR sport in front , and 2 unit silverstone NS 500 at the back.

So now thinking of changing tyres to either Michelin or Toyo. But 16inch tyres very expensive, both brands i mention is about Rm450 per donut. and 15 inch tyre is half the price around 330.

Should i trade in my 16in and go for 15inch instead? now using 205/50/16 , planning to change to 195/60/15

P1 or streamyx more power in KUANTAN?

hi all,

I 'm using P1 4G now, but quota limitation is always a problem coz i down load alot. But it give me flexibility becoz i added-on another modem and use it in PJ as well.

I was thinking of changing to Streamyx, but now sure if 4MBPS is offered in Kuantan. BTW how is the speed of streamyx in kuantan? ok or muntah darah ?

the car's disc brake pad wears out only at 20,000 km, is this a problem ?

my 3 other cars, KIA,HYUNDAI and ISUZU...after 50,000km still got half their brake pads

Further more of all 4, persona's braking power is the worst, and carbon dust is the most

previously i'm working in PJ, pay quite high, life is good and free too, but i dont quite like the job. so i move on back to kuantan.

In kuantan, i worked for my dad, pay is OK-ok, quite like the job, but life is terrible. Always argue with my mom as we stay in the same house.

I think i've came to a cross road where decision must be made once and for all.

i've think of this

a) buy a house for myself in kuantan and continue working here, but every month need to re-pay bank

b) move back to PJ and find another job

its really hard for me to make decision on this, but something must be done. I cant live on like this.
