Keyboard & Mouse not working, Chipset Driver

Hi sifus and sifis sekalian,

I have a big problem that i wish you guys can shed some light on.

Recently i decided to be a smart ass and update my motherboard (MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate) intel chipset driver. The reason I did that was because i've been getting freezing of my entire system quite often. it's a new system self assembled by myself, and i read online that perhaps a new chipset driver installation could rectify the error.

so after installation, i rebooted per the installation process required.

After reboot, in the BIOS my keyboard and mouse still can use. Mana tahu, in the windows 7 login page, the peripherals wont respond. my keyboard and mouse lighting is working fine, but no input whatsoever. Tried different USB port, enabled legacy mode in BIOS, even tried the alleged "unplug all peripherals and power source from system and let the motherboard use it's battery until kering" method, all to no avail.

i dont dare to touch the CMOS, nor do i want to do tedious things like install a new windows on a new drive yet before i exhausted all possible options.

for now, i just ordered a usb to P/S 2 converter, because quite a lot of people i googled claimed this method works.

please, is there any other way to bypass this problem? if somehow this problem of mine can be solved, i give you my number i belanja starbucks in kl la.

aligato

Sager NP 8130 speaker cant play with external spkr

I recently got a X-mini V1.1 and i wanted to pair it up with my Sager NP 8130 speaker to get more bass and surround sound. But i can't seem to configure my laptop to play both the X-mini and my laptop speaker at the same time. my friend tried it with his Toshiba Qosmio and it worked for him. I think it has something to do with the line out configuration and i have realtek HD audio manager. i also tried googling for a solution but to no avail. To the sifus out there, hope you can help me out, don't want to let 70 ringgit go down the longkang

P/S, i have 4 audio jacks; 2 of which i don't really have any idea what they do, but i did try to configure them to work.
