How to get rid of potentially abandoned car

My area has many abandoned cars. Whether the owners died or went into a coma, or went overseas, who knows.

But recently, one stupid fella went and parked his/her car in front of my house on the public space underneath the trees. This is a spot I would park my car. It so happens my car was not around when he "chup" the spot.

And now his car has been there for well over a week. Going by the trend of abandoned cars in my area (there is another abandoned car very nearby my house), the chances are high this idiot also abandoned his/her car there.

The spot is one of the few shaded areas by the trees. So that selfish idiot has put his car there and walked away, probably forever if not for a very long time.

What can I do about it? I know you can get the Majlis to come and tow the car away after a long time, but that is after a long time. I think at least one year. Assuming the Majlis even acts, which as we know, they don't (most of the time).

Water entering car, who can fix?

How to fix issue of water entering car?

I notice my car floor for front driver and front passenger seats are always wet, after rain. I had earlier knocked my door hinges to make them tighter because they were making noise and a bit loose, but I don't know if this created a new problem about water leaking into the car cabin from outside.

And when I asked foreman about this, many said this is tough to solve, because they said it's "leceh" to try to find out the where the leaking is coming from. It could be the doors, or even the windshield, it seems.

Is there any foreman in Malaysia who can fix this sort of problem?

Let's say I own 10 acres of land. I decide to sell 1 acre away to someone. How hard is it? Must go to Land Office and generate new Title Deed? How easy (or hard) is this process? Will it take a long time?

Anyone facing issue to connect to iHerb?

I never had an issue in the past to connect to this site, but now, it seems both Firefox and Chrome on Unifi is unable to get there.

On my mobile data (not Unifi), I am able to get there (actually go to their US version), but it seems on Unifi connection, I just cannot.

They have put a redirect from iherb.com to my.iherb.com and somehow, my browsers keep saying unable to establish connection.....

Is this a Unifi problem or a problem with iHerb themselves? (Stupid tech people messing up).

I noticed few weeks ago, I could go to their site, but not their my.iherb.com which was already invalid.

But they did not redirect back then.

Now they are forcing all Malaysian traffic to https://my.iherb.com Even if you go specifically to https://www.iherb.com

And for this, Unifi line cannot connect!

Alternatives to TM and Maxis Fiber?

So I am thinking of terminating my Unifi line as it has gotten really bad the past few days now. Same like Maxis was, earlier.

For watching video, etc......you won't detect anything.

For playing online games in real time, and the game server is far away from Bolehland, then you will see the problem.

And it's very bad now. TM Unifi was "good" up till recently. Now really bad.

What other alternatives do I have for home fiber? Digi? Celcom?

Dancing patterns on monitor

I noticed this issue with my new 19 inch monitor - Got dancing patterns on the screen, especially clear to see when the brightness is reduced and I look at the monitor from bottom angle. And it's especially clear on light grey colour background.

I thought my monitor was defective, so went and bought a whole new one, but again, got this dancing patterns. I don't know if you can call it flickering on the screen or not.

But my eyes have been easily strained lately in the past few months and I suspect is largely caused by this monitor screen problem.

I also changed my graphics card to a high end card last year (but still using VGA port) and maybe the card is not that compatible with my system, since my entire system is just a Core 2 Duo. If you wonder why I am using "old hardware".....I don't use my PC for gaming. And this is good enough for almost any tasks besides gaming and heavy graphic/video editing.

I also have issues with Firefox which cannot play Youtube 1080p sometimes (lag).....but Chrome is ok. This is a known issue with Firefox and Nvidia incompatibility on some systems since 2 years ago, but Firefox never bothered to fix it.

Now I am wondering why this monitor problem exists. I tried starting my PC in Safe Mode, but even in Safe Mode, the dancing or "flickering" screen is still there. You will only notice it when you look closely and from low angle, and a light grey screen......

My graphics drivers are updated.

I am wondering is the problem caused by the graphics card or the monitor (which seems unlikely now that 2 new monitors also give this problem).

Or maybe it's because the monitor is cheap? My 1st new monitor was about RM400 and the latest one is RM250. My Screen Refresh Rate is only 60Hz and cannot go any lower or higher......the only option is 60 Hz

Any ideas?

Forgot passcode, now locked out

I am not a fan of Apple, but I had to get this iPad for my drone back in the day when those DJI developers were crazy about Apple. So they designed their DJI drones to work best with Apple devices....

Now, they are probably not....seeing the cold war between China and US, but anyway....

I have not used my iPad Mini in about 1.5 years.

Now, I forgot the passcode and I am locked out. Each time I fail to login, it extends my wait time to try again.

Pissed off and I am reminded WHY I despise Apple and always will.

Even I learned that to get Apple Support, I might have to PAY for it.

This is really a money grubbing American company who expects you to bend for them. They won't bend for you.

But anyway, all that aside, anyone knows what to do?

I even tried following their online instructions to power off device, connect to a computer and then hold down the Home button until some reset screen appears.

No, it didn't work that way. After holding down for about 10 seconds, it says my Apple device is disabled.

And my wait time keeps increasing with every failed attempt.

.............

Best bank for credit card?

Which is the best banks to get a credit card?

I have experience with a number of Malaysian banks and they all suck so far.

Public Bank declined my application. And its well known they have bad customer service. 1 hour wait at their branch is very normal.

HSBC refused to raise my limit, because I didn't give them income proof so far....but I have been using and paying my cards very promptly for god knows how many years. It's well known that HSBC is very lansi....so.

CIMB - A big no no. I don't trust them and they always got maintenance or trust issues regarding security/efficiency.

RHB - similar to CIMB. No no. I closed all my accts with them few years ago and don't plan to go back.

What else? I think I will need a credit card for business purposes in the near future.

How to get Speed Bumps built on the front road?

How to get Speed Bumps built on the road in front of my house? Typical terrace house neighbourhood.

The cars are going too fast and a couple of low speed bumps should be enough to make them slow down.

We all know Malaysians are really sohai drivers, and in the past year alone, so many cats have been knocked down by the passing cars. I think almost 10 cats. Many of these are pets belonging to some of the houses. Most of these cats do not live long, around a year or less. All due to these cars.

I have spoken to a few of the "animal friendly" houses, and they are ok with the idea. But I am sure other houses are not keen on the idea.

Yet, other roads adjoining this road have speed bumps although they are low humps. But good enough to serve their purpose.

But can this be done, and how to get those speed bumps built?

I heard there are a few advisory or agencies related to the gomen that deals with Malaysians involved in ecommerce, blogging and other activities that earn money online....

Anyone knows? And if you don't know, then you should find out too.

You will get into situations that need help from these agencies, especially if you are dealing with foreign companies and all these involve money or business activities. Sometimes, things will go wrong.

Example of a govt related agency is the one that handles the annual MyCyberSales......

But I am not sure what is the name of this agency....

I think there should be certain gomen related bodies that assist or advise Malaysians regarding their online marketing/earning activities and can help us to liaise with the big companies from overseas, like Google (for example, that has office in Malaysia)....or Paypal.

And I know there are many Malaysians who are earning online whether big or small scale.....

How much to paint back car bonnet?

I just noticed my car bonnet got many bubbles. This is very strange cos the paint is not new paint. The car bonnet was painted many years ago but now develop bubbles underneath.

So must scratch off the paint and repaint over.....

How much to repaint over again?

Why is our Malaysia connection always so bad?

I do not mean the speed or anything.

I mean the networking always suddenly can go OFF.

Which results in some websites sitting on certain IP blocks or ranges in other countries becoming not accessible.

And we Malaysians will think the site is down when it is perfectly fine in other countries.

Only Malaysia is like that, and this outage for Malaysia can last for hours.....it comes suddenly, and goes away suddenly, but can last for hours. During that time, the site(s) will be down for us.....only us.
