Need help - NFSv3 and NFSv4

Hi All,

I'm facing some issues on NFSv3 client whose group permission is something "205:sshd" when I had interface with NFSv4.

If I not wrong, the 205 is the UID for my NFSv4 owner. Since both of the UID and gid are totally different, how can I configure foreign identity mapping for NFSv3? Or foreign identity mapping is not availabe for NFSv3?

I hope someone can enlighten me on it? Thanks.

Hi All,

I'm doing testing on RHEL5.5 with Starwind ISCSI Target. I had created 3 ISCSI Targets under Starwind ISCSI s/w. So what i need to do is allow RHEL5.5 access 1 ISCSI Target rather than 3 ISCSI targets.

I hv set the permission for the particular ISCSI Target with local name and local secret. I had been tried on configuring the iscsid.conf and define the local user and local secret into iscsid.conf but authentication failed.

Can some1 enlighten me wat & which parameters should I define the local user and local secret in iscsid.conf?

As i mentioned, i just need to mount 1 ISCSI Target rather than 3. Thanks.

Hihi, how do i migrate file server from one system to new system, the owner dunwan to lose his data.

Below is the info of the server,
- It is a member of domain
- The domain use Active Directory
- It is file sharing server
- The server hv a backup tape devices, they used to backup the data daily la

How do i add the new server into the domain, use dcpromo.exe or jz go My Computer --> Properties --> Computer Name, den click the domain button n set the domain name?

Should i configure the DNS and TCP/IP for the new server b4 i add it into domain???

Hihi, cisco sifu, I have been completed my dyndns configuration for my Cisco Router. I can able to access my router web page. But now i wanna to route it to my CCTV web server. Since the CCTV box cant do any dyndns setting but I set a private IP address for it under network 192.168.1.XXX

So anyone can teach me how can route it to my CCTV instead of Cisco

Hi, i jz bought DFI RD200, but i can't use my teamgroup TCCD RAM on it.. izzit i need to upgrade the BIOS? I try to use dual channel cannot boot up, get beeping sound. I try configure as single channel, it is working... i know tat DFI is a picky mobo, so anyone can share his/her solutions?

Win2k User Right or Program Problem?

My problem now is I have a PC wif Win2K OS, i install a program inside the PC... I use the "Administrator" group to use the program the program will run... but when i use "Users", "Power Users" group to run the program, it only display in Task Manager --> Processes --> Clock.exe, after a while the Clock.exe will disappear no matter how many times i run tis program. It totally cannot display the interface lo... Jz wan to know izzit the program issues or the user rights issue...?

Hello, lady n gentleman... morning... My fren has panda eyes, it likes hard to get rid of it... As i know, at the market has many kind of eyes mask for the panda eyes... but dunno which one is good... Hope u all can recommend some products tat u use tat is really effective to get rid of panda eyes...

Actually, my fren asked me to help him post tis topic in forum, he wan to know how to make installer for his program using Visual Basic...

He wanted to integrate the vb components, database n etc.. into installer (.exe) so hope u guy can guide me so i can tell him..
