Installed Windows 10 and everything is working perfectly.

The battery life is amazing. I managed to achieve over 7 hours of continuous use under power saving mode

Lightweight at 1.53kg really is a godsend, especially when I need to be carrying it around the university daily.

The laptop condition is near perfect, except for a tiny scratches at palm rest caused by my watch. (refer to pic below) Never dropped before.

It is always stored in a sleeve at all times (except when it is being used lah)

I assure you, I am a very obsessively careful and clean owner. Laptop is cleaned using water + microfiber at the end of the day every day.

[WTA] Food Science, Dietetics or Nutrition

Hi everyone, I am currently taking A-level, about to face my A2 examinations very very soon. So it's time for me to start thinking about what I want to do next

I am currently taking Biology, Chemistry, and Pure Maths + Statistics. I like biology and chemistry, but not really that fond of mathematics. Currently kind of struggling with my A2 pure maths

I am able to score B's for my biology and chemistry, while I think my maths will probably be D.

Anyway, I have done some research on what I want to do next and I am interested in the courses that I have listed in the title. Food science (or food tech), dietetics and nutrition.

I think it is worth mentioning I am slightly more inclined towards food science as it interests me a little more compared to dietetics and nutrition.

I managed to find some old threads here in education essentials regarding the courses, but I figured I would hopefully be able to gather some newer and probably more relevant up-to-date information regarding the courses.

So here is my question

How are the job prospects and future of the jobs that I have listed above and which is better? In Malaysia, that is.

I have heard some people say food science isn't good because it is not a professional course and thus future prospects are not as good, and instead I should go for dietetics.

Many universities offer different combinations of courses. (e.g. Nutrition + dietetics / Food science + Nutrition etc)
Monash offers food science + food technology course. Does the inclusion of food tech in the course make it a better course compared to the other combination of courses?

Already have D license, now wanna take B license

Hi everyone,

As per title, I currently have a D license (still under probation, until Feb 2015). I'm planning to take motorcycle B full license at the end of this year (Nov/Dec 2014).

If I recall correctly, there is a 2 year validity period for the theory component (computer test).
I passed my computer test on 22nd December 2012.

My question is, since I am planning to take my motorcycle B license at the end of this year, do I need to retake the computer test?

Or am I able to just go ahead with taking the B license without having to go though the computer test again?

Proton Exora Bold vs Toyota Innova

Hey everyone, it's me again

This time, my dad wants to decide between these 2 cars for my mom, Proton Exora Bold CFE Premium (RM80k) and Toyota Innova (RM100k)

My dad is considering between the Toyota Innova which cost RM100K, but after doing some research, I found that Proton Exora Bold CFE Premium cost RM80k and Proton Exora Prime which cost RM89k.

The top of the line Exora's are attractive because of all of the additional features such as leather seats, reverse camera etc.

My mom is currently driving a first-gen Avanza. The only thing that's Toyota about this car is the Engine and badge
So no matter which car will be her next car, it will most certainly be an upgrade to her

My questions for the Proton Exora,
1. What are the main differences between Bold CFE Premium and the Exora Prime? (apart from fake wood finishing)

2. How's the fuel consumption for the CFE engines (assuming both of the variants share the same FC since it's same engine)

3. I always hear lots of complaints about build quality issues for proton (for example dashboard rattling after a few years, plastics loose/broken, paint peeling).
Has Proton's quality improved with the Exora? (I don't fully believe these "problems" since mostly are made by Proton haters. )

I want full honesty from people who had experience with Proton or the Exora themselves

And for the questions of comparison between Proton Exora Bold CFE Premium and Toyota Innova
4. How is performance and handling between these two cars? (Since both are MPV, I don't expect much. Just wanna know which is better between these 2 cars)

5. How is the ride comfort when compared to Toyota Innova? (going over bumps on road, potholes etc)

6. Which car has better fuel economy?

7. Is the Toyota Innova's build quality more superior than the Exora? (Given that the Innova is manufactured in Indonesia)

8. Is the Proton Exora as reliable as the Toyota Innova?

As of 14 July 2013, the decision has been made!

Exora Bold CFE Premium is the choice of car.

Main reasons for the Exora Bold CFE Premium
1. CFE engine is superb. Very powerful and great pickup!
2. Larger boot space than the Innova and more versatile seat fold-down layout
3. Air-cond on the Exora Bold is far more superior.
It's super cold and never have to go more than fan speed 1!
4. For RM80k, Exora Bold CFE Premium has loads of features (Reverse camera, leather seats, tint etc)
5. Excellent handling for an MPV

A thread I found while researching about these cars, I found to be useful and informative.
The comparisons he/she made is extremely precise and true to what I've found.

Toyota Innova vs Avanza vs Nissan Grand Livina

Hi everyone, I'm asking on behalf of my dad because he's not sure of what MPV to buy for my mom

My mom is currently driving a first gen Toyota Avanza (late-2003 model I think) and is still running fine until today
My dad is thinking of getting my mom a new MPV probably later this year or early 2014. My mom is an MPV-person because of it's practicality and whatnot.
Which is why currently my dad is considering these 3 MPVs for my mom, which are Toyota Innova, Toyota Avanza, and Nissan Grand Livina. All of which are within the budget that my dad is willing to pay for an MPV

In my opinion, the new Avanza looks pretty ugly to me, and knowing my mom's taste in cars, she probably would agree with me that the new Avanza doesn't look nice
The new 2012 facelifted Innova looks decent, and the Grand Livina looks the nicest among these 3

The current first-gen Avanza my mom currently drives is pretty underpowered from what I can feel.. Although I'm not much of a car person

Anyway my question is, which of the 3 cars have the best fuel economy, practicality and performance for the price?

I'd like to know what you guys think

PS: My mom only wants an Auto transmission car
