proximity sensor issue (help)

hi..i using iphone 4 with 5.0.1 jailbroken...i having issue that some time the proximity sensor cannot function well,coz me always accidently touch the mute or speaker button bar on screen whenever i listen the phone on ear...sometime,it still working fine but sometime the problem exist again...is that the hardware problem or system problem?can somebody have experience it and give solution?thx...

my iphone 4 cant receive any sms from other ppl,even though i try to restart my phone...somemore the upper left of screen din show the MY MAXIS,just show the signal bar...usually it show both...
however,when i on the cellular data and 3g,then switch back,it can receive the sms...
why would it happen?can anyone help me?

Problem details
Problem description: my data rate shown on modem very low...the downstream juz 32kbps only..but the upstream rech 512kbps..it make me very difficult to surf internet,work very low,and i ady fed up with it...i have try to direct connect..the speed maintain stable for a while..after it,its downstream data rate drop until 128,64 or even 32kbps but the upstream maintain 512kbps..can anyone tell me what to do and the possible problem?coz i having this problem for about 3 weeks..i called 100 before..but seen like useless..so hope someone can solve my problem facing by me..thx u..
