            <title>Should porn websites be blocked?</title>

            <description>Recently the issue of blocking porn websites started resurfacing again with Dr M calling for a total ban of online porno, blaming the rise of sexual crimes on the ease of access to porn. &lt;a href='http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/14mmblog/Article/' target='_blank'&gt;NST&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A study by Universiti Putra also showed that young urban Malays were the most frequent visitors to porn websites. &lt;a href='http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/7/22/nation/6707709&amp;sec=nation' target='_blank'&gt;The Star&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I noticed that several porn websites can no longer be accessed through Streamyx and P1. Of course you can use opendns to bypass it but the fact remains that ISPs have either taken their own initiative to block porn or been told to do so by certain quarters.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The question is whether filtering porn websites out completely is the correct move or not? Are there no other alternatives? Wouldn&amp;#39;t Internet censorship go against the Bill of Guarantees set up years ago when MSC was declared?</description>
