Hi,

Sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong section but I don't know where else to ask.

Has anyone here taken any professional IT certification test at APPIT Prometric test site before?

I searched and it seems like the address provided (NO 60, Jalan 17 155C) is not the Bukit Jalil / TPM / Technology Park campus. Which one is the correct place and how to get there from the temporary Bukit Jalil bus center?

I'm not from K.L. so I'm not familiar with the places there.

Your help will be appreciated, thank you!

Hi, I was trying to re-design my blog but encountered a problem:

When I rezise the browser until the scollbar appears, scroll right and the background dissapears.

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm asking this in the right thread, it's about CCNA.

Is it worth to spend RM2k to attend a course of 4 modules and get a 75% discount on the exam fee?
Or one can just pass the exam easily with self study? (Without hands on on the devices.)

Although I know it is possible to pass CCNA with self study but most people will recommend to buy some devices to get hands on experience.
I think if I need to buy those expensive routers to practice, I might as well attend the course, right?
Then I wonder would it be too dificult to pass the exam without hands on experience, if it is feasible, this could be the least expensive way to get the cert, that's why I'm asking this.

I'm curious about the importance of the result transcript of a fresh graduate's undergraduate degree.

Will a company look at the results carefully, e.g. see how the candidate performs over time, have the candidate failed any subject before? Or they just look at the final CGPA (1st class, 2nd class, etc.)?

Let's say if the candidate has failed some subjects before or the GPA is not very consistent, will this affect then chance of employment or career development?

By the way, I would also like to seek for advices from those who possess any IT professional cert, is it recommendable for an undergraduate student to get those certs? I understand some of them required working experience but some do not. If yes, which cert is the most useful in general (Not too specific, useful in a wider range of fields.)?

Which course suits me?

Hi everyone.

I have interest in computers (both hardwares & softwares), handphones, digital audio/video players, and most other consumer electronic products, I am curious how those curcuits and softwares work. So, I wish my deegre course can prepare me to enrol in careers that involves the reseach and development of such products. However, I am not sure which course suits me, I have 3 courses in my mind:
1. Electronic Engineering
2. Computer Engineeering
3. Mechatronic Engineering <I think this course doesn't suit but I'm not sure>

Computer Engineering is in the list because I think a computer is far more complex than the other electronic products(various hardwares and softwares).
So, which one suits me?

Suggestions/opinions/advices are welcomed.

What can I do after STPM?

Hi, everyone here, I need your guidance.

I got a bad result - overall 2.41 for my STPM. I was hoping to get in UTeM (formerly an university college), which is an IPTA in Melaka. (As some of my teachers say it is easy for Melaka people to get in there, and some of my friends with 2.something result managed to get in there.)

However, I got 1.67 for my Math T, which does not fit the requirement to enter UTeM. (All the courses there require minimum 2.0 for Math.) I have interest in courses like electronice engineering, computer science, etc.

So I am lost now, where should I go? I am a science stream student (PA,Math T, Physics, Chemistry.), I am not a Bumi and I stay in Melaka.
-Should I semak semula my Math and put my hope on IPTAs?
-Should I just go UTAR? (too far away from my home but cheaper than MMU.)
-Should I just go MMU? (in Melaka too, but I heard the expenses are very high, even with PTPTN, U still need a lot of money?)

I was thinking go in UTAR first and then go to IPTA if I can get one but after paying the fee in UTAR, the money is not refundable and UTAR starts before IPTA, I can't waste the money but I can't waste my time too. What should I do~?

Cant connect to Streamyx...

Location: Melaka
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes

Personal equipment
Modem: Aztech DSL208U
Router: -
Firewall used: Window Firewall

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Can't get connect.
Problem frequency: all the time.
Problem description: Can't connect to Streamyx.

I have subscripted to Streamyx basic 512k without modem few days ago. My account was activated but still i cant get connected.

My modem is Aztech DSL208U which i think has no problem because i hav tested it at my friend's house using his Streamyx. When i plug in the telephone line at my house, the light for ADSL just doesn't give any response, and i keep getting "Error 680: There was no dial tone." when i try to connect.
- I get this error wheter i plug in the telephone line to the modem or not...
- I hav tried install n uninstall the driver for many times...
- After i installed the driver, sometime i cant open the connection settings to internet, then all connection settings will be deleted after i restart the computer...

I hav called the helpline 2 times at Sunday (26/11/06):

- 1st time: the operator helped me to check my account, he said there should be no problem, i am supposed to able to connect to Streamyx. Then he called me to check the the telephone got response or not, the telephone is working. Then he ask wat modem i using, then the call suddenly disconnected......

- 2nd time: the operator(another) helped me to check my account again, then he asked wat modem i using. Then he said he has created a report for my case, he gives me a report number, and said i will be contacted within 2 working days for solving my problem.

So, what's my problem??? Anyone help???

Mp3 player here means portable audio player which is capable to store and play digital audio files. I mean pure portable audio player, not portable video/media player. Therefore, some models like iPod, Creative Zen Vision:M, etc are not included as they are more than just portable audio players.
