Shared printer slow printing

Hi,

Do you guys faced slow printing through shared printer with window 7. I've installed a printer to a window 7 machine and share it to another window 7 and a window xp machine.

But printing to the shared printer has been slow, about 1 minute. I it was the driver, I downloaded and installed with the latest driver of the printer but its still slow printing.

Even printing from window 7 to the shared printer attached on the PC with window 7 is also the same.

Any ideas what causes it?

Hi, I'm suffering skin inflammation at my forehead about a month plus already. I tried moisturizer, toner, and salt water.

And I think the inflammation spread to my head, causing my scalp to have dandruff.

Any recommended skin centre or solution to skin inflammation.

Software to power on and shutdown pc

Is there a software to power on and shutdown the pc automatically on specific timer? Need the software for my main pc because client pc from other site will access it. Don't want to hassle everyday going to the main pc site to power on and shutdown.

I need some help about getting the best broadband services for the 3 days fair in sutera mall, skudai. I need to get few pc online.

As I checked, there's no P1 coverage yet.

The area has edge and hsdpa coverage for maxis

just edge for digi.

Not sure there's enough time to get a telekom line for the fair because the fair is held next friday?

Need some advice and possible solution.

Wireless problem

I've been using belkin wireless router for my home's internet connection for sometimes now. Lately I formatted my computer (win vista) and when i try to connect back to the wireless network, it keeps popping a page that need me to enter the credentials for connecting the network.

But my other notebook and pc doesn't have this problem.

So i try to use my company's notebook to connect my home wireless network, it tells me need validation. So i manually configure the wireless network. It was able to browse the web but wireless icon still telling me need validation.

Its weird....

Hope you guys can help me out with this problem

Hi I'm a 26 year old guy. Recently I'm having this problem and it has been bother me for more than a month now.

Firstly it began by I felt different. I feel like I'm having problem of remembering things. It happen to me before last year but it went away quickly but this time It been to bother me for a few weeks. Sometimes I have to think hard to remember some of my colleague's name.

I thought it was normal, maybe I'm too tired physically and mentally after some hard work.

But this problem won't go away. So I'm quite panic. I think it turn to stress because I'm having trouble sleeping at night.

I went to see the doctor, and the doctor says i'm physically good according to my body check report. He told me, its maybe too much stress. But I don't think there is anything I'm stress about.

He gave me mild tranquilizer.

Just this week, I was able to sleep and I sleep early about 10.30pm or 11.15pm. But sometimes woke up in the middle of the night about 1am or 3 am.

When I slept back, I woke up around 8am.

Now I'm feeling sleepy all the time and weak. Sometimes a bit of dizzy.

and I felt alot of cold watery feeling in alot of places in my body vaporize. Something like sweat but its not wet.

Please I need some answer to my problem. I think is bothering me physically and mentally.

Its this suppose to happen when over work or too stress at work.....

My father told me not to worry too much and cause panic myself.

I'm a very sensitive person, so when something wrong with my body. I'll notice it.

I'm worry that I'm having some kind of brain tumor, Alzheimer or even brain cancer.

Ways to transfer files from mac air

Is there any way to backup the files inside the mac air without going to os.

My brother's mac air when power up, its just a white background blinking with a apple logo and a no entry sign and a file logo.

Can I do a file transfer via mac to mac?

Or do I need to disassemble the Mac air.

Unable to shutdown, pc hangs

I have this problem, my office server ml330 G3 unable to power up. The power supply spoiled. So I purchase a new psu to replace it.

After I installed the new pc. The pc power up by itself without pressing the power button.

When Shutdown the server, in the process of shuting down, it hangs.

The spoiled the psu is liteon 300 watt.

I replaced it with vantec 400 watt.

Hope someone can help me solve this problem.

Fax and wireless problem

Hi I've just bought a 4 in 1 HP M1522nf printer.

My phone line is connected to a spliter. I plug the adsl port to the fax.

After install the drivers, i setup the fax. Then I call my friend to try and send something over. After receiving fax, the printer unable to print the fax. And says fax error 284. So I try to send something over. But it says no answer.

If anyone familiar with 4 in 1 printer, please guide or help me troubleshoot this problem.

my fax and phone number is the same..

the other problem is with my desktop wireless connection. Although it stated online but i cannot connect to the internet. I ping the gateway also no respond. I disconnect and reconnected the wireless connection but still the same problem happen.

What should I do?

Printer not able to print via print server

Here's my case, there's 2 color laser printer plug to the print server to share to our department.

I want to add the color printer because I need to print color document.

The 2 printer are

hp color laserjet 2500 and epson c2600

I follow the ip and the port name and the lpr setting in other pc that added this both pc and added both printer.

The problem is epson c2600 able to print, but the hp printer won't print.

The print job I send to the hp printer quickly changed from 1 to 0. But when I went to printer, nothing came out.

Can anyone help me with this?

I remove the printer and download new driver from hp and readded it, but still the same result.

Pc lags after clicking excel files

My colleague's pc recently has this problem, the pc seems lag when clicking any excel files. And the excel files after a long time only will appear on screen but does not open the file, just the application.

Problem installing OS

Hi, recently my pc have some software problem or corrupted. So I decided to re-format.

After I backup my things, I reboot and insert my OS cd.

When entered the option, I press enter and press F8 to accept the license.

but when set up, they'll say no hard disk in this drive.

The mobo model is asus p4v800-x. The hdd is sataII 160GB

I hope you guys can help me out.

Headache problem

I have this problem, My office laptop (panasonic toughbook) has this problem. I cannot access to my C drive.

It says "C:\ is not accessible, access is denied". And when I right click to the Hard disk properties, it display the hard disk capacity is 0 and the file system is RAW.

But it still can goto the OS.

I suspect its infected by virus. But I cannot install any antivirus or software because it will pop up messages saying the same message "C:\ is not accessible, access is denied".

All my work is in C drive. Even my document is empty.

Hope anyone can help me to resolve this problem.......

How to boot norton ghost with usb hdd

I have a image file that need to be clone to the laptop. My laptop can only boot from usb hdd, cd and floppy.

I'm not familiar with ghost.

My laptop is a sata hdd.

I tried boot from cd, but cannot detect the image from external hdd.

So i would like to boot the norton ghost with usb hdd.

Anyone who done this b4, please guide me the steps on how to boot the ghost software from hdd.
