- How long will it take for the laptop to deliver to my house? [I'm living in Selangor Puchong area]
- How is the performance? for gamers and designers, etc.
- Any advice before I actually buy it?

Need help with Laptops for 3D animation software

Hello guys, let me introduce myself first. I'm a final year student for 3D animation degree here in Malaysia. I've been using a MacBook Pro (2006 model) since a few years ago to do my work. It's been good, but since I'm advancing into 3D animation, it's been very slow (even with 3Gb ram and graphic card ATi Radeon X1600) it lagged like there's no tomorrow. I'm planning to buy a new laptop which could run softwares such as Maya or Max smoothly especially when modelling heavy stuff which requires a good computer to do so. PC desktop is not an option as I travel by air a lot.

I have done some readings and find out that Quadro and FireGL graphic cards are good for 3D softwares, but that's all I got so far. What type of laptops should I get for me to run these softwares smoothly? I also would like to know other necessary specs like the processing speed, ram, etc. My budget is within RM6.5k
