Need help with tooth filling...

When I was younger, I had a cavity in one of my teeth, but I can't remember exactly which tooth, and had a filling done. Recently, after a visit to the dentist, he found a medium-sized cavity in a tooth and advised me on getting a filling done.
Most probably the previous filling came off without me noticing.

But since my dentist's clinic looks a bit outdated, I am planning to get a longer-lasting filling. So what do you guys recommend? I don't want to get the black one which is supposedly longer-lasting because it looks darn ugly.

So where can I get the better ones? I heard the new ones are more pleasant-looking and mixed with porcelain and can also last longer. And how much does it cost? I hope it doesn't cost a bomb.
