Maxis Family Plan

Hi,
somehow i couldn't find good thread about maxis fiber.

currenly i am paying RM404 for Maxis postpaid (with 4 share lines) and RM265 for Unifi 800Mbps package.

both are out of contract recently.

now thinking to

1) get Maxis family plan 300Mbps with 4 postpaid lines (unlimited) for RM359 (saving almost 50%)
or
2) Maintain unifi and find cheaper mobile provider ..
3) get Maxis family plan 800Mbps and get oay RM1 monthly for PS5

for 300Mbps maxis fiber,
1) will they provide public IP?
2) apart from poor support (since they need to rely to TM), anything else that i should consider?

i have no issue with Unifi .. only one time down (due to fiber cut) but the idea of reducing monthly commitment and getting some goodies is very interesting.
i already called TM to ask for special package but nothing special.

UPDATE 2 :
Maxis confirmed that they did not inform their customer and the limit was set by iTunes. they just follow the instruction from iTunes and they believe they have no obligation and responsibilities to inform their user

#### She used my wife phone ... purchased, installed, then login with same userid in her phone. so child mode will not work.

Will u ask ur bank to reduce your credit card limit to 1000 cuz u dont use as much?
Just give ur kid a prepaid line. Let her pay for her own app download
The most critical process, where do your kid get hold of the cc info.

##### nothing to do with credit card limit. this will be billed to maxis bill. as i mentioned earlier, in my wife phone, no credit card info at all.

I thought can set password for any purchase
setup family member from icloud. whatever your kids make purchases also need your approval. no wonder ppl say ifag bodoh, this go and blame telco somemore.

##### out of 10 purchases, maxis sent around 5 sms to reconfirm the purchase. no password required since only myself know the password .. not even my wife

Talk to Maxis and if nothing file complain to MCMC.

seems like most of /k/ also don't know about this ... and ask about credit card etc ... nothing to do with ccard. . last time, only can purchase via prepad itunes card or credit card .. today, can bill to your mobile phone (both postpaid and prepaid).

Just found out that since last year, Itunes user can purchase the app and bill to maxis bill (same goes to Celcom, Digi, U Mobile).
Before this, I always thought we can only use iTunes prepaid or credit card.

My daughter purchased app worth of few hundred ringgt using my supplementary number (my wife phone). i did not install any ccard info and using separate iTunes ID in that phone which is not linked to my main account, so i have no concern that my kids can purchase anything from iTunes.

Only found out when received bill and called 123, standard answer was maxis is just medium for payment.

issue now;

1) Maxis failed to inform every user about this program and get the approval to join this.
2) Maxis set the default purchase limit to RM500 (same goes with Digi). Why they need to set to high limit and not getting approval from end user. they should set to much lower and user can call to increase it.
3) Maxis will not entertain any request and will ask you to pay.

I need /k/ help to assist me .. RM488 maybe too little for standard RM20k in /k/ ...

but lets work together to ensure that they cannot this to us anymore.

some of you may ask, why i am stupid by allowing my daughter to purchase;

1) i don't know that u can use mobile bill to pay in itunes
2) kids today very smart.

I've been using my 8 years old Dell 2007WFP for primary monitor for photo editing ... although i do have bigger monitor for other stuff .. i still trust that monitor for end result.

now thinking to upgrade to bigger screen ..

can someone suggest right monitor mainly for photo editing;

1st option : budget RM1500+-, 27'inch if possible .. no need fancy stuff like usb 3.0, speaker etc .. prefer dell .. but others also OK ...
2nd option : budget rm2000 +- .. 30'inch ..

ps : not prefer to get apple display .. too glossy ... + not making money from photography .. ..

i really like bose v35 system however local set is very expensive ...

is there any other model/combo that have small speaker design but good quality sound?
my tv room is only 14"x16" ....

Adding electrical wall socket

Hi,

I rented a house and my working room only have 2 socket plugs.

One socket connected to ups and connect all my pc, unifi, monitor, printer etc (all 8 ports at my belkin used up)
and another socket connect to my aircond ...

is there a way for me to add more socket without the need to drill etc or minimize the actual structual?
because of this .. i cannot use my broadband power line because it is not working if ups in between ..

+ i dont like the idea to connect aircond to extension cord ..
