Help! Can't connect to the internet (Win 10)

Hi guys! I don't know why but i cannot connect to the internet no matter what i do.. i've tried lan but it says no internet..i've tried external wireless adaptor (ALFA) and tried to connect to my router and wifi hotspot from my phone still to no avail same message "no internet". I've tried several internet solutions including netsh reset or something uninstall and reinstall lan driver..tried scanning with malwarebytes still nothing..i usually manage to solve my pc problems myself but this is getting me frustrated and hopeless feeling. Please help..

If needed my mobo is gigabyte Z97X-SLI, lan is Intel® Ethernet Connection 1217-V

Hello to all LYN forumers. I have another questions (again ) . Well the thing is i still haven't buy any mobo yet as i still looking for a used unit and nothing yet. Also looking for a cheap used 750w psu for the gpu and still to no avail. So i just got my budget money and planning to buy a new monitor and i was suprise to see a 1440p now and it's so tempting to try out 1440p gaming. I don't think a single r9 290 can do well to max new games on ultra settings. So i figured maybe i should get another card (i need luck on this). But the thing is i only have a xeon E3-1230V3 as my processor so will it run well anyway or will it bottleneck the gpus. If crossfiring is possible which mobo would i need for crossfiring those two R9 290.

Any advice given would greatly be appreciated, thank you in advance

Need Help Suggesting a Monitor

Hello fellow lyn forumers, I need help on buying a new monitor mainly for gaming. My budget is roughly..(800-1200) depend on the important features and the value worth. So i first have my eyes on dell ultrasharp u2414h (i think?) because the name "ultrasharp" sounds like it would give a good cystal clear screen and the thin border is very appealing to me. Though i just found out that it's 60Hz and i've spend some time searching and i find that most people recommend 120-144hz for a gaming monitor. Now im having second thoughts for the u2414h..

Anyone can suggest me another good monitor that is very ideal for gaming? I found some place mentioned this monitor

Hi lyn forumers, i'm still looking for a new motherboard for my xeon e3 1230v3. I have no clue on which to buy i've read a lot about b85,h81,h87,h97 since i know the z version is for overclocking. But till this day i'm not sure which is good for me (money wise). There are some new features on motherboard that i wont use and i dont want to pay for something i dont want to use..

M.2 and sata express
I don't think i'll be getting a m.2 as the price is so expensive, not sure about the sata express as i'd only be using 7200rpm sata 3 hdd and maybe a ssd in the near future.

Integrated audio chipset
I don't use any headphones so any 7.1 audio chipset (or any headphone boost related features) on board the mobo so it would be under utilize i guess. Question: I have a a pair of bookself speaker and an integrated amplifier is there any fuction on the motherboard that can further enhance the sound? If yes please tell me as i'd like improve the sound.

PCI-E slots
I think 1x 3.0 would be enough and i don't need the extra 2.0.

Boost functions
If possible i only prefer to overclock the gpu. I'm not sure non z version mobo can do this. Please enlighten me

Greetings fellow forumers, my university upgraded it's internet speed presumably fiber optic since the previous speedtest i did it reached 40Mbps (50 Mbps was the highest i ever tested there). I constantly getting good download speed when the university just re-opened after the semester break. After most of the students came back the download speed getting way slower but i do not mind sharing since it is a shared wifi afterall, but the problem is even during weekends where many students went home the wifi still giving me just below average connection. So may i know is there anyway to overcome this? I remembered about Signalking my friend mentioned over the past years will that even do anything to help the problem? I'd appreciate any help/advise given, thanks in advanced!

Internal HDD 3.5 to External Inqueries

Greetings, I have several questions regarding hard disk. I just bought a 6TB WD Red 3.5 but i still can't use it on my PC since i still need a new graphic card to make my PC work again. So i'm wondering if i can use it as an external hard disk in the mean time and use it as an internal hard disk once my PC is working again..So my question is..is it even possible to make it as external hard disk? If yes how? and if i want to make it as an internal again will i have to format the data or something..? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advanced!

P/S: I'd like to try to avoid opening a thread but i need to know the answers soon and the hard disk section hasn't reply me. Sorry for any inconvenience caused..

Black screen when turning on PC

Hello everyone,

So this just happened to me this morning. After I woke up, I turned the main switch on, pressed the power button on the PC, then the fan start running and there's the beep sound (like usual) but to my surprise the monitor still blank while the led light still blinking. So I had to pressed the power button again to force the PC to shut down and press it again to turn it back on. I had to do this 3 times before my PC finally have a display and then there was nothing wrong after that. But if I shutdown the PC and wanted to turn it on again.. the problem continues..

What could be the cause of this? And how can i fix it? I'm scared it would become a bigger problem in near future. So really need the help again. Any help / advise given would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance!

Hello forumers, once again I need help

This few days i have encountered several blue screen of death not sure what the error was and all i managed to read was "beginning physical dump memory" so i assume it's my RAM problems? It happened mostly when i play pcsx2 emulator with 120+ fps (Disabled frame-limiter. Also don't quote me on this i have the PS2 console and DVD but playing on my PC is more convenient for me) and happened to face the same problem when playing Fallout: New Vegas with High setting. It could be because i run some stuff at the same time such as rainmeter, IDM, firefox, and the game itself. Currently i'm using 2x 2GB RAM (Different brand but running same @ 1333 MHz). I also did run the built-in windows memory diagnosis and no errors were found.

So, if it's the ram problem should i replace it with gaming ram? Or simply add more ram?
Any help/advise given would be appreciated

PC hangs and monitor turns blank

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure why is this happening. Sometimes when I turn on my PC long enough and after gaming / during gaming (Happened during playing Bioshock Infinite) the PC will hang and screen goes black then my monitor's LED light is blinking usually it does that when the PC is not turn on, but the PC power led light is still on. What could causes this? Heat? Ram? Not enough power? GPU?

Here's my PC spec:

Intel i5 3470 (using stock cooler)
Asus P8Z77-V LX
2x 2GB RAM (Different brand but running same @ 1333 MHz)
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
Silverstone Strider Essential 500w
Gigabyte HD 7850 2GB OC

I'm scared if the problem persist and my hardware will be damaged.. quite sad thinking about it since i don't have much money if it really happens. Any help/advise given would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello all,

Straight to the point, my younger sister is currently studying in KPTM @ KL. There are few problems at the moment,
1) Transportation - My sis told me that the bus only pick up students early in the morning and she currently have
gaps between her time table for example 9am-12pm then at 4pm-6pm got class. Since she doesn't want to wait
that long she took lrt and taxi to go back to dormitory and she have to took the lrt and taxi again for the
afternoon class, hence already need to spend so much money on transportation.

2) Food - There are no nearby restaurants at the dormitory only few stalls and since this is a fasting month this is
rather worrying

3) Safety - Even her lecturer said that students need to walk in groups outside of the campus and dormitory since
there are many snatchers, kidnappers etc

Is KPTM @ KL really this suck?

If so, then where can she rather take TESL course at KL other than KPTM? I prefer she study at Kuantan because my mother and me stay in Kuantan but i dunno any IPT that offer this course than UiTM

..Or should i just buy her a cheap car to solve the distance problem but i'm worried since she just finished her driving test and KL is just full of cars..what if she got lost, got into a small accident..

So yeah, really need your help guys. Any advice given would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'm planning to buy a new PC for home and will use it for gaming, watching 1080p movies, etc. I will use it most of the time thus this will make the electric bill higher, so if possible i want to reduce the electric bill as much as possible with my current budget. I'm clueless about hardwares as I'm totally new about PC stuff sure i can do some research but it will take so much time . So, please help me out, i will appreciate it so much.
