I vow to never buy a Proton again...

I have had a horrible experience with Proton service centre.

They're irresponsible people who damaged my car and did little to improve the situation.

Forced to buy a Proton and end up with so much frustrations dealing with after sales.

After sales service is every bit as important as before a purchase is made.

Unreliable and unprofessional car manufacturer; I'd love to see them go down.

I'm now stuck with a Proton, unable to dispose of it, or lose RM20k by selling it.

I'm too overwhelmed to write about my story.

But I just want to say to all of you:

I URGE YOU TO THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING A PROTON.
A COMPANY WITH SUCH ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS SHOULD NEVER HAVE SURVIVED.
IT'S A SHAME THEY'RE STILL AROUND.
LIFE IS UNFAIR.

Waja CPS fuel consumption very high

A RM60 pump (RON95) runs for only 180km. I think this is very high for a 1.6 Waja CPS. It consumes even more fuel than a 2.0 litre car i.e. Inspira.

Great if Waja CPS owners can share your experience pertaining to fuel consumption.

Hi all, can I get some comments regarding Waja CPS vs Gen-2 CPS vs Persona IAFM?
In terms of:
pick-up
top speed
high speed stability
NVH
fuel consumption
interior faults
maintenance problems

Should Preve still be considered?

Now that we've discovered the Preve isn't so impressive owing to the factors below:
1) Unresponsive below 2k RPM
2) Loud engine noise
3) Interior quality

Is it still worth the price of RM73k as compared to Peugeot 207 and Vios J Spec?

Or is it better to squeeze my wallet for every drop of blood to get a proven big CC car - Inspira or Forte?

Or just screw anything above RM70k and get the dreaded MyVi?

Hilux/Navara/Triton vs Vios/City/Latio

Does it make sense to buy a pickup truck instead of passenger cars for city/highway driving? Not for business use but for daily family use.
Reasons:
1. Huge capacity for grocery to luggages to furnitures.
2. Very rigid body structure, hence safer compared to passenger cars.
3. Powerful engine, much higher torque compared to passenger cars.
4. Bigger and safer for the same price.

Questions:
1. Is diesel or petrol more cost efficient in the long run?
2. Is it a comfortable ride or is it bumpy?
3. Is it more expensive to maintain?
4. Does it consume a lot more fuel?

Transplant 4G93T into Waja

I'm thinking of a 4G93T transplant in a Waja.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of a 4G93T engine?
How is the 4G93T as compared to 4G92 MIVEC? It's for daily drive, needs to be fuel efficient and maintenance cost needs to be lowest possible. Basically, a good balance between power and cost.
What else needs to be added on after installing a 4G93T engine? Exhaust? Fuel regulator?
What are the processes of obtaining JPJ approval?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Are Chery cars worth buying?

What's your opinion on Chery cars?
I felt that the built quality is worse than the Proton Saga.
The finishing is poor, looking as though the pieces of plastic were unevenly cut out using scissors.
Some plastic parts of the dashboard are not attached properly which I can peel off.
But what do you think?

Chery Eastar - RM81,988
Chery Tiggo - RM89,888

Which C-segment would you choose?

Which of the above would you choose? Assume premium spec.
Reasons why is most welcomed.
Peugeot 308T and Ford Focus may not exactly be in the same saloon class, so ignore it if you wish although it does appear in a C-segment consideration set.
Local makes are not included for this particular poll.

Comments on the following B-segment variants is encouraged:
Toyota Vios
Honda City
Nissan Latio
Nissan Sentra
Mazda 2
Peugeot 207
Hyundai Accent
Ford Fiesta

Buy Old Wira to Mod, or Buy 2nd Hand Waja CPS?

What's your opinion on spending RM30k to buy a 2006 Wira and transplant a 4G63T, or spend RM35k to buy a 2008 Waja CPS.
Ultimately I wish to have high torque and reliable engine.
