Wireless Issue

Hello Folks,

I may need some help and advises from you experts out there. I just got my Unifi last week and the modem/router is placed downstairs. Before this I had streamyx whereby modem/router is in my room and I'm on a desktop therefore was using the traditional LAN cable to get my internet. Now I have no choice but to go wireless with the desktop since the router is out of cable reach.

I purchased a ASUS PCIE wireless adapter, plugged it in and installed everything and it doesn't work in a sense that it is not detecting any wireless signals or SSID. This device is working properly and it is appearing under Device Manager as well. I tried almost everything and gave up. Went back to the store and they tested it out and it was working just fine. I opted to change for the USB adapter therefore changed it to a TP-LINK. Went back plugged it in and installed the driver and the same problem came. Nothing was shown (bear in mind that my room receives pretty strong signal as I'm accessing internet through my VAIO laptop). Tried plugging in the TP-LINK to the laptop and it worked!

So I guess the problem lies somewhere within my MOBO/Win7 64bit?. I'm using a MSI P55-GD65 mobo. Cant be going back to the shop and changing to another brand or so forth. What should I do?..My desktop is without internet now What will happen when Diablo 3 is out?

Would appreciate if you guys can give me a few pointers.
HTC HD2

Hi Folks,

I just gotten a HTC HD2 myself 2 days back & I tried installing the hotfixes from HTC website. When i copied the installer file into 1 of the location in the phone and when I tried installing, it says 'this hotfix is not compatible with your device'. I have the proper ROM requirements. Is there a correct way to install the hotfix?

Also another problem I faced is that when I set my ringtone as 1 of the mp3 files I transferred in, the song sometimes does not play when Im receiving incoming calls. It just stays quiet. This happens randomly when I'm receiving calls. Sometimes it plays the song, and sometimes it doesn't. I had to actually turn on the Vibration mode so it'll actually alert me that I have a call coming in. If not I wouldn't know someone is actually calling me. I've done all the necessary settings and its still the same. Bear in mind this only happens to the mp3s that I set as ringtone, the tones that comes with the phone does not have this problem.

This is so odd. I thought of returning this phone to SiS already...! Please advise guys... =(

Thanks!

Hello folks,

I have a dual 5850 and on catalyst 9.12 without hotfix.

So for the games i play i would like to know whether is it supporting crossfire or not. I remembered last time when i was playing around with the catalyst manager, i somehow got the crossfirex red box appearing on the top right corner of the screen when i run a game. How do i do that again cause somehow i've forgotten?

Actually i know crossfire is running but i guess only on certain games through indications from GPUZ or CCC. Then again i just want the red box to pop out during gameplay =D. Any ideas?

Thanks!

WD Ext HDD

Hello folks,

I have a WD 320GB Ext HDD and on Win7 64bit. Issue is when i plug in the HDD, everything is still fine and workable but only there isn't a safely remove icon. Well when i plugged in another normal 4GB thumbdrive, it then came out.

Inside windows explorer the Ext HDD is shown and listed under Hard Disk Drives while the other thumbdrive under Devices with Removable Storage. Makes me ponder why Ext HDD doesn't falls under the same category as the thumbdrive. No wonder it can't be safely removed like other thumbdrives cause Win7 is not recognizing this device as an external removable storage, if not surely it can be removed.

Any ideas? Attach is a photo.. (G:) is the Ext HDD & (H:) is a thumbdrive

[attachmentid=1361279]

Hello Folks,

I just bought a basic gaming mouse from PowerLogic model GMX-5. Since the box doesn't come with a driver or disc and as I'm on Windows 7, sometimes the OS doesn't detect the mouse. Now what would i normally do is unplug and plug it in again to get it working. Is there a way to solve this hassling problem? I would say the OS doesn't detect the mouse more than 50% of the time.

Please advise... thanks!

When i do the built benchmark in Resident Evil, my PC is only scoring an average of 60 fps. Should I be getting high fps since i have 2 ATI HD5850 installed? Im on i7 860.
