How the broadband bill cycle works?

I've recently installed my Unifi broadband on early FEB. And on early March I'm given a bill of charges for two months (First Bill). And on early Apr I'm given a bill again for 1 month again. I've clarified with the live agent that TM no longer collect upfront payment and no deposit so the first bill is a collective charges of both feb and march. Now on early April I'm being charged for the usage of Apr to May which is considered to be a charge for future usage and not past usage (March to April). Is this normal or am I being double billed for March?

Are you being billed for the MCO period?

Recently the government has announced free internet package for user during the MCO lockdown which starts from APR 01 till release from MCO. Pretty much every news has covered on it stating that the government is providing "FREE INTERNET" to the people. But why the free internet thing doesn't covered home broadband? Aren't home broadband considered internet?

Here is the case. I've installed my new broadband on 7th Feb and on 8th March I'm being billed for both the month of feb and march which is a sum of two month (first bill). And on 8th if april I've received another bill again. Just now I've clarified on live chat and they said that this is to bill me for the month of 7th april to may. (I didn't know that the broadband provider bill use so early for our future usage and not based on what we have used). So it is clear to me that the broadband usage for the month of April is not free.

Is there anyone here that have to pay the bill for the month of april or is this thing affecting TM unifi only? And when the government said free internet is this only free data for Mobile user and not include Home broadband? The news itself are not very clear on this issue and give the false assumption that the broadband is also free.
2 ways of eating Nasi Lemak

To a programmer, there are 2 ways of eating nasi lemak.

First is to eat the nasi lemak with a portion of sambal on his rice which helps maximize the flavour.

Second way is to mix up the nasi lemak and the sambal so that every grain of rice is coated with sambal before eating.

Third way is to separate the sambal from the rice before eating for those programmers who are not fond of spicy foods.

I plan to put in a liqui moly dot 4 for my car. May i know whether if i need to flush out the old brake with the same brake oil or i could just use any cheap dot 3 or dot 4 to flush. And the mechanic quoted me 2 liter of oil. Does it mean 1 liter for flushing and another for putting it in or it takes less than 1 liter to fill up the tanks. Car is iswara.

What to get for home studio

Hey guys, Currently I've a budget of roughly around RM6000+-. I've most likely decided to get a nikon D7000 with a kit lens which should cost about RM4.2K. Within the budget I think I will be getting a nissin NSS-Di622MK2-NK speedlight. So with the remaining money can anyone recommend me a good tripod and macro lens. I have people suggested me getting a tamron sp90. But I don't know how much they cost cause can't find them online (Malaysia) and this might also be a discontinued item which I'm not too sure.

If you know where to get tamron sp90 for new please do let me know and if there are any other suggestion do let me know as well. Also do let me know what do you suggest as a good tripod. The height I will be working with will usually be on top of a table (priority) and possibly sometime on the floor as well. If can suggest me something that can get to work on both the heights for top of table and low enough to work on the floor.

Sole Proprietorship/Partnership dilemma

I'm thinking of starting a business with some friends. If I do start a business as a partnership am I liable to their part of tax? For example if I'm always paying my part of tax but my partners never pay their tax, do I need to pay their parts?

If I choose to do with the same people but I start as a sole proprietorship, can I pay high commission (Sales base business) to them as a commission to employee as a compensation for their parts just like a partnership. Commission will be equal for revenues received.

As an employer in sole proprietorship do I get tax once or twice if I take salary? And can the salary have variable amount each month or better to put it as commission to employer/owner?

Thanks in advance.

(WTA) Budget macro lens suggestion.

Guys I would like to look for a macro lens for shot of still photo of products. But I'm on a tight budget. The subject don't need to be too far since I don't have enough room for such shot. Camera not fixed yet. Possible getting a Nikon D7000 and to compliment the kit lens for macro photography.

Doesn't have a specific brand in mind. Maybe Tamron, Sigma but are open to other as well. If it will help, I need to shoot it in low lighting condition (at night). Already have light tent but will invest in Studio light later.

Looking for true macro lens but don't know how much they cost. Could you guys guide me to the right place to buy and look for their price online. Shashinki don't have much option on macro lens.

Hisoundaudio PoPo IEM Reviews

Initial Impression

If you have never heard of Hisoundaudio then I will try to explain. Hisoundaudio is the maker of the famous Rocoo A and Rocoo A/B DAP that share the same designs as the Hippo Gumstick and Cube C30. They are also famous for their PAA1 and Living earphone.

This is the reviews of their newly released PoPo IEM which is a wooden IEM made from African Rose Wood to give it a woody sound that many loves to hear.

Sound Quality:
The first thing that you will hear from this IEM is bass. Plenty of bass. The bass is not only hard hitting, they even have the low rumbles that many headphone and IEM lacks. However the bass may sometime leak into other frequency to become muddy. But that is dependent on the type of music you are playing.

Mids is recessed and laidback. They don't provide much details in the mids but this impression is just only 3 days of burn in. I will still try to give it more burn in to see if there is any changes.

The highs are smooth but not clean. On dub step and electronica the highs are shown nicely together with the deep rumbling bass.

Soundstage is wide and spacious enough to give an overall ambience sound.

While it is made of woods I think the best match would be dubstep and electronica. Maybe it is because of the bass and highs concentration.

Maybe it is just because I'm picky but I've read many people like it. And they even said they have great clarity.

And this is the first impression Hisoundaudio latest wooden IEM. More will be coming in the second post after few weeks. Anyone going to bring it in to Malaysia?

Hey guys. I just got a bit bored from trolling around this site while wating for updates until I felt like I wanted to write a blog for reviews and some audiophile information. I won't admit that my hearing are better than any headfier around here because i'm pretty sure there are many more that are better than me. It's just that I got a bit bored and there are waaaayyy too many misinformation in the net. For starters I will just review all the equipment that I owned and after that I'm not sure whether if I want to continue or not. If there is any misconception and myth and even some news and information please let me know. Provide the link as well so i can read up and try to blog about it. This is my new blog. http://audioreviews-akuma.blogspot.com/ Please let me know if there is anyway of improving them.

[addedon]October 19, 2011, 3:05 pm[/addedon] It seems like I didn't get good response here. Anyone around here are interested in SPL product? Especially the SPL Auditor which I believe have been available in Jaben for testing for quite sometime.

Solve power issue

Hey guys. May i know that whether if a which type of equipment can help me reduce or remove the power popping issue. The type when someone switch on a switch especially a florescent lamp at some other places then you will hear a popping electrical sound. This happens to all my equipment that have sound including pc so i'm pretty sure it is a power problem.

Here are the probable solution i'm looking for.
1.A surge protector
2. Power Conditioner (if it works for other equipment as well will be nice but mainly will be used for DAC and amp if it doesn't work. Two socket output will be better)
3.Both

Can you recommend me a brand that actually works and not marketing gimmick. Where to get it and how much it cost.

I'll will also be looking at some power chord in the future. One side is the plug type that you connect to the pc/ lcd monitor and other side i prefer the pin to be similar to our average household UK 3pin style. My requirement is a budget high performance power chord. Any brand to recommend that can be found in shop. And how much they cost. I may be looking at furutech but don't know how much they cost for their budget series.

Please let me know the place to purchase and the name of the shop for the things you have recommended.

Hi guys, My problem is quite simple. When you turn it on no power is available. (pc fan not running, no light in front and the motherboard as well.) the problem should be either in the PSU or motherboard. The problem is that if i'm going to bring it for warranty do i need to bring the whole PC (about 10kg) or just the motherboard and stuffs in it plus the PSU? do i need hard disk or anything else? And are the shop open for repairs on xmas?

Which DAC to buy?

Can any audiophile help me in choosing this two DAC govibe DAC and ordnance DAC-1 from jaben its hard to get reviews. If there is any other option available please let me know the shop and the price of it. I prefer getting it from a shop and if possible less than RM250. The equipment i have now is a hippo amp and a crossroad woody 2 feeding on an onboard Realtek ALC889A chipset. The onboard chipset sound good to me so i'm not really that sure whether if it would be a good upgrade? I have no idea which genre that i listen to because it's quite mix. Mostly are from game, anime ost and jpop. Mostly on the soft slow side instead of modern music. Some example would be Yuki Kajiura and Final Fantasy ost. What i prefer most is a good detail so i need a dac that can increase the detail over my onboard sound. Coloration or neutral is not a problem as long as the coloration is on the warm side with smooth and controlled bass. I'll be purchasing it soon so please help me in choosing a good DAC.
