I sold something to someone and he paid me RM30 through paypal. So that means i have RM30 in my paypal account.
But i want to use the money to buy something in the currency of USD, how do i convert the rm30 into usd?

Car Amplifier fix?

Hello there!

My car's audio couldn't be played these few days, the cd is running but no sound. So i send it for a check and the technician said its my amplifier's problem, and sure enough, i replaced one and yeah its all working again. And the technician clamied that the old amp is faulty. I asked him could it be fused? He say "NO, AMP DONT HAVE FUSE". i was stupid enough to believe him. And i go ahead in the new amp installation. Then i went back home disassemble the amp and i found a fuse inside the amp! and it was broken. i was quite angry so i bought a new fuse but the fuse did not break this time but my amp still couldn't power up. I've tired this in my car and on a PSU.

What i'm concern now is can i revive my amp? Because this amp is actually quite costly, made in us and really nice performance, i dont mind using it as my desktop amplifier! Anyone with experience can help?

*PS no sign of burnt marks in the amp!

vga and dvi

hello there

i got my new 6970 from warranty ady. so far i only tested one dvi port.
i didnt use a dvi monitor as i have 3 19' lcd's which uses vga cable. So i use a vga to dvi converter. I tried on the 2nd one, is working well. until today i wan to setup my eyefinity, i just realise the first port on the gpu is "not working"

then i took a closer look

what does that mean? only that port supports vga-dvi?

i want to host a forum for a society. arround 100members. which means i need i load of bandwidth.
i will be using vbulletin. my budget is around rm100. max is rm130 (including domain)

which hosting you recomend me?
is hostso.com good? they're hosted in us, their ping is 300ms+-
they support unlimited bandwidth and is hell cheap.

anyone tried them? review?

open burning

my neighbour hav been open burning for many years. recently they renovated their house, i tot change owner. then yesterday i see stupid retard owner comeback, and burn their construction rubbish and i'm sick.

open burning in msia is illegal rite? what should i do? report to who? any email? i duno they will take action anot cos last time i try report to MBSA but no reply, and maybe because they are <insert race>

motherboard on and off

hello i own a asus p7p55 motherboard and just claimed rma. I own quite a few motherboards so i'm quite experienced in handling motherboard.
once i got back my mobo, i didnt put it into my casing, i put it on a cardboard, where i usualy do my benchtest. So everything turn out okay, so i reformated and installed driver. then it request for a restart. so i restart, then problem comes, my motherboard turns on and off on and off with 1second interval.

there are only two posibilities that cause this problem,
1, standoffs. i dont hav to use them because i placed it on a cardboard.
2, heatup in cpu which i'm 100% sure its not.
*3, faulty psu. i tried this psu with another motherboard, so not psu problem.

so i taught, why not just try installing the standoffs. before installing them, i wiped the back of my motherboard becuase since it came back from rma (refurbished unit) the back is super sticky, like someone poured honey on it. after wiping, i installed the standoffs. woola. my comp is able to turn back on.

---that was last sunday---

today, i turned on my comp, loged in to fagbook, and went to grab a cup of water, realise windows update. so since i just got my ssd, i love to see the speed it boots. so i did the restart, but after that restart, the problem comes back again.

i then removed the standoffs, dust the back of the mobo, replace the standoffs, but this time. not working. i tried 3 times. same.
untill the last time, i just use damp cloth to wipe the back of my mobo, then its okay again. so i insert my cpu,gpu,ram etc. try to turn on, fail again. i just like shake my motherboard abit, then okay already, until now. very 'pms' motherboard.

i would like to ask fellow sifus here, should i send this mobo back for checkup and maybe rma again? or should i wait for the problem to come back again then send back? i'm afraid when i go all the way to lowyat and the ppl tell me my mobo is fine, since this mobo so pms.

or any solution to what i'm doing now?

hello there. i have a motherboard - asus p7p55d and would like to setup raid for the first time.
i currentlly have:
2x WD 160gb HDD
1x WD 500gb HDD

can i add another:
1x intel x25-M 160gb SSD
1x WD Caviar black 1TB HDD

can i mix them up and form a hdd?
all guides in google.com uses identical hdd so i'm not sure. i dont want to regret after i buy.

another question,

intel ssd's are good for boot, due to the IOPS, and ocz's ssd are good for transfering file, can i do raid 0 with those two?

hehloo. i hav a tp-link TL-WN821N and i notice it cant be connected to the internet when i'm on windows 7. it can detect my wirless network, and connect it, but its not connected to the internet, ipv6 is not connected. i've tried reinstaling driver, no hope. but it works on windwos xp.

anyone facing same problem? help needed. thankiew.

hello there.

i hav dual channel CMX4GX3M2A1600C9, for exactly a year. last month i got some blue screen of death, then i taught it was software problem, so i tried reformat to windows 7, but during installation, the blue screen comes out, so i guess its the ram, i took it out, rub it with a rubber, placed it back and it works, windows 7 is succesfully installed, until yesterday, the blue screen comes back again. so i tried one ram at a time, and yeah, i found out which ram is causing the problem, and i took the ram for a memtest. here are the result

the problematic ram crashes my comp, my opera browser, photoshop etc etc. so what do i do now? if i send RMA, do i hav to send both? or the faulty one only.

[COLOR=red]another question here, my harddisk produce one kind of noise, something like scratch noise, when i plug my audio jack in. when i unplug it, the noise is gone, and the sound doesnt come from my speaker, is the harddisk.
I have another computer and speaker, the same problem.

any suggestion? help needed.

hello. i want to buy homeplug for my iptv. but my area got one thundermatch store, only sell belkin. but i see most of the unifi user using aztech. i lazy travel down to lowyat or pj mall.

can tell me aztech or belkin better?

if aztech, which model? currently looking at HL280E, 1000mbps good/bad?
if belkin, the store told me belkin homeplug avu? i googled only got av. is that good?

i5 750 2.6ghz to 3.8ghz
ATi 5870 not gonna overclock but i want to replace this shytty stock cooler
4gb corsair ram 1600MHz

if wan recomend watercooling, i dont want kit, i wan assemble.
if recomend heatsink, recomend best, based on ur experience.

budget for water 1.0 - 1.2k
budget for heatsink 500

and i hav rm400++ should i buy a ssd or ugrade my ram to 8gb?

for example:
(LCD Monitor) samsung 27'' Full HD - rm1190
(LCD TV) samsung 32'' Full HD - rm1300
and the tv one comes with built in speaker. whyy leh?

1. yesterday my area got thunderstorm, then fried my modem, together with my lan socket and one dvi slot of my gpu (everything goes blue).
so can i send my motherboard and gpu for warranty? my gpu 5870, quite costly leh.

2. i subscribed to unifi, will unifi hav the same problem?
