Laptop WiFi replacement

Hi guys,

I got really fed up with the Broadcom 802.11n WiFi card that came with my Lenovo y410p that has connection stability issue (Connection degrade overtime) so I'm looking for advise on whether I should just get an external WiFi adapter or replace the built-in WiFi card with something better? Also, which adapter or card should I be getting?(Budget of around 100?) For card, I've searched the net and found that people suggesting Intel 7260 card, will it work on my laptop?(Planning to mod my laptop bios to remove the WiFi whitelist)

Asus RT N12 question

Hello guys,

I'm currently looking to buy Asus RT N12 as a replacement to the UniFi stock modem (D-Link DIR615) as I need a working QoS as well as better equipment. The question is, does the RT N12 D1 variant comes with QoS feature? Not sure if I'm blind or not since I can't find any information about QoS on this model.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Noticed after I flashed my DIR-615 with DD-WRT
Problem description: Not really sure if this is Unifi issue but I only notice my WAN IP frequent changing without router restart. This is quite annoying as I'm running home hosted game server.

My server also experiencing some disconnection issue. Is there something to do with DD-WRT config or it's Unifi issue? Never experience this before I flash DD-WRT

Any advice? Please tell me if I miss out anything.

Temp idle @ 50C above?

Hello,

This morning I just bought and installed i5-4670 with stock fan as well as MSi B85M-G43. When I checked the BIOS temp, CPU temp is 50-55C on idle, Motherboard System temp is at 40C+. Is it normal?

Also, I tried to re-adjust the stock fan just to make sure it's correctly installed but result is the same. When I tried to touch the CPU to check whether it's hot or not, the result is normal, doesn't feel the temp of 50-60+ o.O

Radeon HD6850
