Hey guys, I have a RAMSA WS-A80 speaker with a busted 8" woofer.
The speaker belongs to someone else and I need to know how much one roughly costs, and where I find a replacement speaker.

I'm also thinking of just buying a replacement 8" woofer and replace the busted woofer myself.

Which option would be more feasible?

Hi guys,

I'm setting up a web conference between Malaysia and London and I'm thinking of using a video camera as the video capture device instead of a webcam.

The camera is non-DV so I can't use firewire, I'm thinking of getting a RCA to USB converter like this one here.

Anyone knows where can I get this in Selangor/KL? Pasar road? Low Yat Plaza maybe?

Also, what streaming sites would be best for such an event?

Hi guys!
I'm thinking of picking up a percussive instrument and I have the bongos or congas in mind (I just love the sound they make, don't you?).
Leaning more towards the bongos because they're much more compact/portable though.
I wanna ask:
1) What's the price range of a set of beginner's bongos/congas?
2) What should I look out for when buying them?
3) Any shops in the Klang Valley where I can find them?

12 String Guitar Repair

Hey guys, A friend of mine has this really beaten up 12 string guitar. Lost 2 machine heads, a few pegs (not a problem, can buy) and one corner of the soundboard is cracked and leaking sound... )=

It's a beautiful guitar and i feel it's such a waste not to restore it to it's former glory. You guys know any know anywhere I can take this guitar to for a major repair job? Or whether it can be repaired or not? It's looks really bad...

Open Backed Guitar Amp

Hey guys I was just wondering what the main difference between open and closed backed guitar amps?
Which type suits what style of music better?

I personally own Spider IV 15 practice amp. It's got this 3/4 closed back design, which leaves some room in the back. So I kinda like took advantage of this and stored some stuff in there: spare pack of strings, amp warranty and power cable, and the guitar cord when not in use.
Will this be derogatory to the sound of the amp???

Beaten up Fender Mexican strat

Guys I saw this red Made in Mexico Fender Stratocaster at a 2nd hand shop going for Rm 800, Serial number dates it around 1996.
The guitar looks real worn-out, eg. rusty tuners, strap button, slightly torn pickguard, small paint chips/scratches, sticker marks on the body.
Is the guitar worth the price it's goin at? In such a condition?
Cuz i was thinking, maybe i could clean it up, get it refinished etc...
Whaddya guys think?

Hi guys, I'm an amateur guitarist and I face a problem when playing my guitar, my hands sweat a hell lot (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis)...

While this isn's too big a problem with my nylon-stringed guitar, It is a very annoying one with my electric guitar.
You see, i have to wipe off every single molecule of sweat after I play or the strings will start to rust T.T

I mean, I don't mind taking the time to wipe my own guitar, but it would be really nice to be able to borrow someone's guitar without saying
'Erm, hold on, let me get some tissue paper/cloth...'

Anyone out there having the same problem as me? Any suggestions?

Beginner's Electric Guitar

Hi guys, as you all might know, CK music's Year End Sale is back and I've been browsing their catalogue.
Their Guitar Starter Pack caught my eye as I've been thinking about getting a budget electric guitar for some time.

For RM756 the pack includes:

Line 6 Spider IV 15
Korg GA 1 tuner
Craftsman ST30
Gig bag, picks , stings, cord.

The package is obviously well worth the price, but the thing is, there is an option to package a different guitar, the ST110,120 or 130. Of course it's gonna cost more.
Now I can't find much info bout the guitars, but i hear they're relatively good for a beginner, anyone can tell me what's the difference in the different guitar models? Is it worth it to stretch my budget a bit for the other guitars?
