I look around Cupid Corner and all I see are general advice & encouragement, countless words being spewed here and there. Nobody ever talks about the most important and taboo topic: SEX.
I dunno whether it's because I've lived in America too long or what, but I find it very weird. All of us have seen love movies, whether it may be romantic comedies or all-out passionate love stories. You may not notice that movies influence your thoughts especially ones with sensible and sentimental themes. Movies also offer you fresh perspectives about different things in life. It tells you about the past, the present, and the future. You learn from them, and it gives a clearer explanation about how things work. As they say, imitation is a form of learning, and it's only natural that some of us have used the things we have learned from movies in our relationships. This thread is about sharing your favorite love movies and what techniques you have adopted after watching them.

For me, it's the movie Before Sunrise. Just 1 1/2 hour of walking and talking, very realistically done as if it happened in real life.

The film follows Jesse (Ethan Hawke), a young American, and Céline (Julie Delpy), a young French woman, who meet on a train and disembark in Vienna, where they spend the night walking around the city and getting to know each other. The plot is minimalist, since aside from walking and talking, not much happens.

Everything from how to stand out from the usual crowd when trying to attract the girl's attention, eye contact, facial expressions, charming humor, conversation flow, knowing how to seize the moment when it counts, I learned from this movie.

Office Relationships

This post is just to share an experience I had today with regard to the workplace. So, as some of you know, I work in America.
Also, you may be interested to know that my boss looks a bit like emma watson, just a little bit. Here's a quick comparison picture for you curious folks. *Edited*(Pic removed for safety purposes)

So today she called me to her office to discuss something, and she showed me this report on her table. She was wearing this cute red blouse with a deep cut in front of the chest, and I was surprised since she usually don't wear such seductive clothing. She also had her hairs curled when usually its tied to the back, wearing perfume, it was weird. So while she was sitting there explaining, her cleavage was in full view while I was standing, and then she proceeded to scratch her chest semi consciously which made her boobs jiggle and made me even more aroused. I also have noticed some things she does:

• Bought me the most expensive gift on my birthday
• Invites me to go for lunch together, drives me to her favorite places and it feels like dating
• Likes to tap my shoulder after a long day of work, and give compliments
• When discussing things with me, she genuinely smiles and laughs a lot, sometimes she puts her hand on my lap while looking at me a certain way for a brief second
• Always asks me whether its okay to do things a certain way, whether I would feel annoyed or not, generally trying to make my life easier, even though she’s my direct superior

Am I thinking too much? Is she just being a good boss? Can any1 share their experience with office relationships please, did it work? Did you get fired?? Would really appreciate it.

Okay guys I really need some advice here with a dilemma I currently have. It's 12am here and I can't sleep. I've been writing all sorts of advices for a while now, some which really helped, and I hope all that effort will somehow help me out. I have to admit my situation is very out of the ordinary but please give me the benefit of the doubt, if you do not have any constructive advice, I kindly ask that you do not post in this thread. It took a lot of courage to write this and I'm already bracing for an onslaught of criticism..... If you think I'm trolling then so be it, don't believe me. Move along.

Here's a bit of my background, I'm a 24 year old Malaysian currently working in the United States.
A few months back I got to know this girl in Canada on a webcam chatting website called Stickam.
The interesting part of Stickam was being able to talk to various strangers face to face with a webcam, and it's just easier to be yourself.
Compared to real life, it's much easier to be more daring and do things that you normally wouldn't do.

So I happened to click very well with this Canadian girl, as we share a lot in common and like to talk about crazy funny shit.
There were times when we were singing jon lajoie songs together, having a dance off competition, drew shitty portraits of each other, discussed about our favorite galaxy pictures, etc. It was a fun mindless internet relationship where anything was possible, no rules, no boundaries, no limits.

Some days we'd just talk about our mundane daily lives, how we were doing, and soon it became somewhat of a daily routine.

Then came the weird part. I always thought that we were just crazy internet friends but one day she started showing signs that she might have feelings for me. She made an origami heart for me and wrote my name on it.

When Daniel Domscheit-Berg defected from WikiLeaks in September to create his own leak-focused project, he told Der Spiegel that “there must be a thousand WikiLeaks.” The four that launched in just the last few days aren’t a bad start.

Last Thursday, a group of former European Union officials and journalists launched a site they’ve called BrusselsLeaks, focused on obtaining and publishing leaked internal information about the backroom dealings and secrets of the E.U. The Bulgarian newspaper The Sofia Echo reported on Saturday that a Bulgarian expat in Paris has set up BalkanLeaks, a WikiLeaks-modeled site that declares that “the Balkans are not keeping secrets anymore.” WikiLeaks itself pointed on Sunday in its Twitter feed to IndoLeaks.org, a whistle-blowing site that has already published revealing documents from the country’s Suharto administration, though it seems to have since been brought down temporarily by technical glitches.

Though IndoLeaks wasn’t visible Monday, the two other sites appear to use anonymous submissions systems similar in principle to the one that WikiLeaks offered until October of this year, when it stopped taking submissions. BalkanLeaks uses the anonymity tool Tor to protect its leakers, while BrusselsLeaks uses the encrypted messaging service Hushmail.

German former WikiLeak staffer Domscheit-Berg may be launching his own leaks site, OpenLeaks.org, as early as Monday, though unlike WikiLeaks or its copycats, OpenLeaks won’t publish any documents, instead functioning as a cryptographically secure submissions box on other sites, a strategy that passes the responsibility for leaked documents directly to whatever media or activist organization a leaker wishes.

The challenge for any WikiLeak-alike site, especially those without a known figure like Domscheit-Berg, will be establishing credibility. Even WikiLeaks was initially rumored to be a CIA ruse in its early days, a conspiracy theory that still persists in some corners of the web. The controversy around WikiLeaks’ latest disclosures and the charges against its alleged source Bradley Manning will only make leakers more paranoid.

Those questions may be resolved with time, as the new sites’ security and motives are proven out. BrusselsLeaks addressed the trust question, albeit vaguely, in a post Sunday: “How do you know we are not a lobbyist or political group? We’re not and in the coming months that should become plainly obvious,” the post reads. “The people we know trust us personally, and if the website fails then so be it, we can carry on.”

WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange has been skeptical of other attempts at leaking sites in the past. In an interview last month, he told me that he wouldn’t recommend any other sites following WikiLeaks’ model. “There have been a few over time, and they’ve been very dangerous. It’s not something that’s easy to do right. That’s the problem,” he said, pointing specifically to a Chinese attempt at a leak site that “had no meaningful security,” and “no reputation you can trust.”

But he was more positive about the prospect Domscheit-Berg’s spinoff group, OpenLeaks. “The supply of leaks is very large,” said Assange. “It’s helpful for us to have more people in this industry.”

If even a fraction of the leaking sites that are beginning to surface prove credible and secure, then WikiLeaks may end up having an even larger impact than the government- and business-shaking leaks it’s already revealed; It may have planted the seeds for an entire new generation of secret-spilling sites.
