[WTS] M42 and Pentax DA 15mm

Item(s):

1. Carl Zeiss Jena DDR 50mm f1.8 MC Pancolar - M42 Mount
2. Asanuma Auto-Wide 28mm f2.8 - M42 Mount
3. Pentax DA 15mm f4 - Pentax K Mount -SOLD

Package includes:

Inclusive of Front and Rear Caps

Price:

1. RM 450
2. RM 200
3. SOLD

Feel free to contact me for nego. But please be reasonable.

Warranty:

Nil.

Dealing method: COD at KL , Kajang, Bangi or Putrajaya; or by Post (Pos Laju)

Location: KL

Contact method/details: PM or Whatsapp/SMS to 012-3230419
---

Item(s) conditions:

1. Carl Zeiss Jena DDR 50mm f1.8 MC Pancolar - M42 Mount

Glass is clear, no fungus, but some dust that does not appear in photos. Aperture blade has some stains but does not disturb the blades closing at all (still opens and closes quickly). Some scratches on lens body, usual for an old lens. Only thing missing is the M/A mode button, but there is still a stub so A/M mode can be engaged easily.

Very good image quality. Sharp lens, nice colours (typical of Zeiss lenses). Only reason I'm selling is I have too many 50mm lenses.

2. Asanuma Auto-Wide 28mm f2.8 - M42 Mount

Glass is clear, lens body has not many scratches. Looks like new. But front element there are some hairline scratches/cleaning marks, but very fine and cannot be seen unless you shine torchlight onto it. Will not appear / affect photos.

Nice wide angle lens, but nothing too special. But it's cheap, and you get f2.8 at 28mm. Selling because under utilized.

3. Pentax DA 15mm f4 - Pentax K Mount - SOLD

Optically almost perfect. Outer lens body is clean and looks new, but the front has quite a bit of scratches on the body (I don't know what caused it, I'm not the first owner). But focusing on Pentax K-5 is perfect, functionally no problems at all.

Perfect lens for ultra wide angle shots on Pentax cameras. Very small and compact size, focuses quickly. Image quality is superb. Only selling because I recently got a Sigma 10-20mm and Tokina 20-35.

Picture:

Will provide later.

Reason for sale:
Funding, and under utilized.

Everyday, around 8-9 pm until 11-12 pm, my Streamyx line will disconnect and refuse to reconnect.

I wonder what's going on? It has been acting up like this for quite some time. Before that, everything was fine.

I'm using a Aztech Modem & Belkin Wireless Router.

Has anybody here experienced similar problems?
Need help in choosing 2 laptops

I tried posting in the buying laptop recommendation topic, but for some reason my post keeps sinking, so I decided to post a new topic.

I would like to ask fellow lowyat members to recommend me 2 laptops.

1. Brand : Asus, Toshiba or Dell
2. Price : Laptop 1 + Laptop 2 = RM6500 or less
3. Specs:

Laptop 1
Processor i5
4GB of RAM or more
A decent graphics card (ATi or Nvidia)
14" or 15" Screen
To be used for Engineering Applications, but needs to be a bit on the high end for future use.

Laptop 2
Processor i3 or Core 2 Duo
4GB RAM (Less is ok, but not less than 2GB)
A decent graphics card (Ati or Nvidia)
14" Screen
To be used as back up for laptop 1, but with lower end specs.

If possible, I'll need the model and specs ASAP, since my office needs it urgently.

Thank you

Users of Toshiba Satellite L510 series?

I am interested in the L510-S438 (with Ati 4570), but I would like to know about its build quality, heat management, etc. Users of other L510 can also give some feedback.

Since the Toshiba Club thread is not really very active, I've decided to post this question here.

Can you recommend me a laptop...

With the specs listed below:

1. CPU : fast
2. Mem : High
3. Small (14" and below)
4. Decent to high graphics
5. Brand : anything except acer
6. Price : RM 4000 and below

Need it for work, not for gaming.

Graphics don't need to be too high. For running engineering softwares only. But extra graphics performance would be useful for future use.

PSA : Beware of snatch n run thieves

Few days ago, one of my superiors was walking around the imbi area. While he was waiting to cross the road, two snatch thieves on a motorcycle took his work laptop and sped off. He was using a standard dell slingbag, and the thieves actually snatched it easily.

After that, he made a police report, and apparently, the area has a high number of cases involving laptops being snatched.

So, as a heads-up, since we're here in the mobile computing forum and may carry around our laptops near the area, please be aware of your surroundings, and make sure that if you're using a slingbag, put it behind you or away from the road while waiting to cross.

Mobile CPU : How slow is too slow (for gaming)?

As the topic title says, for gaming, what's the minimum speed in your opinion for the CPU? Assuming that they are all Core 2 Duo, and the laptop has a good graphics card (Nvidia 9600 or equivalent).

Questions about Benq Laptops

I'm currently looking around for a new laptop for gaming and home usage.

I seen some benq laptops around, with good specs which makes me interested. But, what makes me wonder is, why are the prices are on the low side, although the specs are quite high (when compared to other brands of similar specs)?

How would you rate benq laptops, in terms of build quality (worksmanship, cooling, robustness, etc) & tech support?
