Hello. I have a question for sifus here.

My old rig

Phenom II 955
MSI 770-C45
win 7 64 bit
2GB x 2 1333 CL9 Mhz RAM

I upgraded my ram to 4GB x 2 CL11 1600Mhz (able to boot into windows after bios update) and now it runs at 1600Mhz.

Question is :

1. on msi website it shows that my mobo support 1600(OC),1333 speed, I didnt overclock anything and let it all run at auto setting, will this affect my pc in any ways? should I manually set it's speed to 1333mhz?

2.. Since I now have extra 2GB x 2 ram, can mix it with 4GB x 2 ram?

3. If possible, should I increase the timing of 2GB ram to match 4GB or reduce 4GB timing to match 2GB?

I know 8GB is plenty for my usage but since I have it why not use it (if have no impact on performance)

failed to load detection driver

hi guys, i need some help with graphic card installation.

I tried to install new driver for my gc (ati 5770), downloaded new driver 10.12 and when i tried to install, i got this error "failed to load detection driver"

i tried a few suggestion from internet, completely remove the driver and catalyst, but none seems to solve this error. so i decide to restore system. any way to fix this? is it something wrong with my gc?

lost in dilemma

first of all, i would like to share my story about my study.

i passed SPM 2008 with good result, then i got a scholarship to study engineering in japan (3+2). First year i think everything is okay, need to learn lots of Japanese language, some maths and physics.

then, this year as my second year in that programme, i started to feel that ive lost interest to continue my study. sometimes i doubt my decision to accept that scholarship. it feels like i just realize that im not interested at all to go to japan. then last July ive decided to end my study and start to look for other options.

the problems is, now im scared to learn engineering, all those math and physics stuff. im afraid that i'll screwed up everything once again.

during school time, i like those thing about technical, machines and all those stuff related to engineering but now i dont know whether it is my interest to study engineering.

is 19 years old can be considered as too late for a fresh start? i mean starting back from diploma or something like that..
